Best Bar and Bartenders in the area! Love Andy!
Highest integrity I have ever witnessed at a bar. Andy was ~0.5mL shy of mezcal for a cocktail and instead of just making a short drink, he opened a new bottle and topped the jigger off. If you know, you know how hardcore that is. Can't wait for my next libation here
Great small bar, definitely suggest going when college students are off for the summer

WaxBar is a vibrant spot in Ypsilanti, offering expertly crafted cocktails, including Old Fashioned and Mescal cocktails, and a unique Basil Gimlet. The atmosphere is lively, making it a great spot to catch sports games. The staff provide excellent service, remembering regulars' orders and making everyone feel welcome. With a fun, rad vibe, WaxBar is a must-visit for a great night out. The drinks aren’t cheap, but they use quality ingredients and are better priced than what you would find elsewhere for the same quality. The bartenders are super sweet and attentive, and the drinks are good, reasonably priced, and have tons of variety. There’s not a ton of seating, but if you can grab a table it’s very easy to spend a few hours here. Waxbar embraces a neighborhood bar/dive bar style, with more seating available now. The drinks are still great, and represent a fairly good value overall. It's always a relatively cozy environment, the staff are friendly, and you can tell the regulars love it. The recent trip to Waxbar included a Black Manhattan, which was fun and a nice spin on the standard Manhattan.
