“The service was great! The food was simple but cooked right, and paired with the correct dressings/dipping sauces. I don't know why people think that to be a "foodie" you need dishes with a million ingredients! This place does it right! The zucchini fries and homemade dip were delicious, my mom got a salmon salad that looked and tasted great, I got a BLT but now that I know they can really cook I'm going for the chicken cordon bleu next time. Reminds me of the Oaken Bucket in a sense because it's good honest simple but unique! Will be back!“

I recently had a delightful experience at Applebee's Grill + Bar in Benton Harbor, Michigan! This family-friendly restaurant has clearly stepped up its menu over the years. With great food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s a place worth visiting.
The food: I sampled a few dishes, including the boneless wings, fish and chips, and a cheeseburger, and I was impressed! The bottomless fries were a fantastic addition—always hot and crispy. Each dish I tried was enjoyable.
The service truly stood out during my visit. Our server, Kandace, was attentive and cheerful, guiding us through the menu and ensuring our drinks were always filled. Her positive attitude made our meal even more enjoyable—thank you, Kandace!
As for the atmosphere, the restaurant was clean, well-designed, and spacious, which made for a comfortable dining experience. It definitely feels like a place that caters to families, and in a community like Benton Harbor, Applebee's really shines.
Overall, my visit to Applebee's Grill + Bar was a great experience! If you’re looking for a kid-friendly spot that’s also enjoyable for adults to grab a bite, catch a game, or simply relax, this restaurant is a fantastic choice.

“Ken and Sissy went around the room and said hello to everyone except my wife and I. All we got was a dirty look from Sissy, and a leer from Ken. No idea why. We've always been polite, and thankful, as well as generous tipping. I can't spend my money where I don't feel welcome. My wife and I will likely never be back.“

“Good food, service and price hidden away worth the trip to enjoy a decent meal. Especially enjoy Donna's deck on a perfect night. Cameron and Donna are perfect hosts and deserve to keep their place going. Patronize them and have a good time and meal offen.“

“The Tavern is hands down the BEST place to get a burger! I also love the potato kegs! The tavern has the cleanest bathroom as well. I love going there.

“IHOP is part of our rotation for family breakfasts, so we got to enjoy it today, and I can't say enough how wonderful our waitress Shamika was. From the 1st interaction, she made my morning better. She recommended the French vanilla sweet foam cold brew, and it didn't disappoint. She was attentive to our large group and very organized.“

“Oldest place in Michigan. Guy Fieri out here from drive in diners and dives. Hot Ham Sandwhich is enormous. Personally I would like the ham grilled longer be none the less. Meat is fresh, juicy and full of flavor. Goulash is good also. Place is always busy. Love love love“

“My fiance and I shared a large Chicken Nacho's which was more than enough to make the two of us very full. The restaurant was hosting a fundraiser where they would donate 20% of the proceeds from the night to a local family who had medical issues, which I think is a great way to give back to the community! Very nice restaurant for casual dinning, date night, or an evening out with the family!“

“Went last night 1/20/25. They were pretty slow due to poor weather. I wanted to give a shout out to the cook in the back. For 1 the food was good, but for 2 he was nonstop cleaning the entire time we were there while he was not cooking. As usual food, and service was good.“

“Our server (Jessica)was excellent and it was our first visit in our search for fish frys during Lent. We were not disappointed. Serving perch grilled,Cajun or lightly breaded was fantastic they let us mix and match. Personally loved the Cajun grilled. Affordable, pleasant atmosphere we'll definitely be back“
