“My recent visit to Leo's Coney Island Birmingham was a refreshing experience, particularly with their Greek salad on the menu. The Greek salad was a perfect balance of crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, tangy olives, creamy feta cheese, and flavorful dressing. Each bite was a burst of Mediterranean flavors that left me feeling satisfied and revitalized. The service at Leo's Coney Island was friendly and attentive, making it a great spot for a quick and healthy meal. If you're in the mood for a delicious Greek salad, Leo's Coney Island Birmingham is the place to go.“
“Honestly this place is worth the hype! First off the service is amazing, the man at the counter was so personable and kind. Secondly the food is fair priced and delicious! I got the lamb platter, should’ve got the lamb and chicken. My friend got the General Taos and we both agreed they were both so flavorful and a lot of food for the value. The mango lassi was not one to skip, like a mango yogurt. So creamy and delicious! Plus, they opened indoor seating so no more waiting outside on a cold day. Will be back for the party platters!“
“Super kid friendly! All of the waitstaff here were so nice! Food was delicious. Black cherry ice-cream was great. Reasonably priced. Gave my daughter an entire coloring book and box of crayons to keep her occupied. Will return soon!Kid-friendliness: All the ladies here were so nice and accommodating to my daughter. Gave her a coloring book before the food arrived and a sucker on our way out.“
“I enjoyed my breakfast. I had a biscuit topped with sausage patty, poached eggs and sausage gravy on the side. Came with American fries and I got a coffee. My server was kind and speedy. The food was a nice portion, arrived hot, and tasted great. The restaurant is run down inside. While clean and well managed, it all needs a re-imagining. Carpet, booths, tables and chairs straight out of 80's casting. Never mind though, it's a good breakfast!“
“Food was superb. Great prices, Great Portions, and Great Service. Go here all the time and food is ALWAYS consistently great. Highly recommend this restaurant that won't empty your wallet and guaranteed to FILL your Stomach!! ❤️❤️????⛄“
“Kicking myself for not going here sooner! One of my favorite quick comfort meals is lemon rice soup and Greek salad. Called it in, it was ready when I got there, and the gentleman working the register (I think he may have been the owner?) was so kind and friendly. I will definitely be back next time I'm craving soup and “
“The waitress I didn't catch her name but she has black hair was fantastic I don't come in here often because I don't eat breakfast out but she remembers the last time I was there and she even recommended that I change my order which I did and I'm very happy that I did, and it's nice to see Berkley finest having breakfast ,my wife loves picking up their tab, I highly recommend breakfast at the Country Oven“
“It was our first time here and we were not disappointed. We had breakfast and the portions were large. I got three meals out of my omelet with hash browns and toast.I love that they put the coffee pot on the table. I was able to keep my cup full and hot.I don't know who the hostess was, but she smiled the entire time I was in the restaurant. She also never stopped moving. She looked like she loves her job.“
“Great gyros and salads! Next to the food the best part is the service. Nick greeted us with a smile and continued to make sure our party was well taken care of. The restaurant is clean and updated too. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Veggie gyros. Great salads.“
“It was not too busy inside to sit down. There was a lot of pick up and take out orders going the whole time we dined. Very nice atmosphere and clean, comfy seating. The food was excellent! The steak surprised me the most! It's definitely a place to visit for some delicious food!“
“Bare bones takeout spot with a unique (usually spicier) take on Lebanese style food. Most of the menu is creative and reasonably priced, and I’ve never had something from here I didn’t enjoy immensely. The Al Jabal sandwich and Kof and Slaw are unique and spectacular.“
“Medium good quality food but service makes the difference here. We came in with a local and the lady that runs the place knew her by name. Our waitress was attentive without hovering. I wish the food was better (chewy lamb and soggy fries).“
“National is definitely our go to! I’m laid off and wanted some affordable, yummy breakfast to warm my soul. Today the sausage links were just spot on! I do wish they still had a small Hani and I REALLY wish they could bring back the Hawaiian Chicken Salad (or can you please, please tell me how to get the dressing or make it!?!). Pretty please!? I’d go multiple times a week if you had this again!! Anyways - love the staff. They know me, my kids, and my Jeep - I feel like I’m with friends there. Thanks, team!! PS - loooove that my daughter can get her fave - chicken tenders - at breakfast time!!Dietary restrictions: Definitely accommodates.Parking: Zero issues parking - ever.Kid-friendliness: Amazing option for kids. This is a huge reason as to why we come here.Wheelchair accessibility: Def handicap friendly!“
“We picked up my bonus daughter in Hazel Park and we aren't from Oakland County. We were looking for somewhere to eat before we went to the movies and this little diner popped up. Where ever my husband saw the restaurant first it only had a three seat review, so we were a little hesitant but we went ahead and gave it a try.We are so glad we did. We were greased immediately and the waitress pointed out where the booths to fit 5 people were. The food is great. A lot of coneys and diners are extremely greasy and over seasoned, my menieres appreciates that everything isn't loaded down with salt. We will definitely be returning when we get our daughter from this side of town.“
“My family loves this restaurant. Great staff and delicious food. I don't know what they marinade the chicken in, but it's awesome. I just had them cater a party. I had hoped to have extra chicken, but it was such a hit - we should have ordered double!! We also had pasta in red sauce, salad, and pitas. The food was a hit.“
“Loved it here. I went with a work group. This was actually my second time here. First time was back in 2022 for a Christmas party. Anyway, We participated in a bar crawl on 2/17/24 for Jess. It was nice music. They also did a raffle! The service was fast. The place was packed. I kept ordering the grapefruit basil martini aka the duchess. It was really good. The staff was polite and useful. They had great wings also. I'll be back to try those loaded waffle fries one day lol.“
“The place is busy on Wednesday @ 1 p.m.I was greeted quickly and by a friendly woman, shown to a seat immediately.I'd planned to get a couple of Coneys but saw the little display for Lenten specials. It had walleye on it so I never even picked up the regular menu, just ordered the sandwich straight away. While I awaited my order,I noticed several servers greeting & conversing with what were obviously regular customers. Always a good sign.My sandwich was very nice, lightly breaded and hot. I need to come back and have the dinnerThe floor was a bit sticky in spots, especially in the men's room. The material on some of the booths is well-worn.Parking: Gobs of spaceWheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room between, and at, the tables & booths“
“It's was a nice experience. The food was good, the service was great, it wasn't expensive and we had a really cute waitress. All in all, it was a great experience.Kid-friendliness: Take the little ones hereWheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible“
“I’m surprised by the reviews. I had a great experience. All the reviews about the service - it’s not a sit down restaurant. Had the chicken Cesar pita. It was amazing. I’ll be back just for the pita not to shop at the mall! Chicken was marinated, very tender and juicy. Perfect amount of dressing. The Romain was fresh and crisp. French fries were almost like steak fries. Not overly greasy. Highly recommend checking this place out next time you’re shopping at the mall. Prices are typical.“
“My experience dining at Hellenic Restaurant was truly delightful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it an immediate favorite spot for me. What really stood out were the vegetarian options; although I can't speak to the entire menu, the dishes I tried were flavorful and satisfying. The staff was attentive, ensuring a memorable dining experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Hellenic Restaurant for anyone looking for quality vegetarian options in a cozy setting. Can't wait for my next visit!“
“Our server was pleasant and very attentive but not obnoxious. The food was delicious and just how we ordered it and it came out in a reasonable amount of time and was the right temperature. This was my first time here but I'm sure I will be back!“
“We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Zoo because a friend said they had the BEST chicken and they were right! We didn't know what to expect, so it took us a minute to figure out what we wanted, but everything was delicious!Everything we ordered was really good, but we especially loved the boneless wings (both teriyaki and snacker seasoning), the zucchini fries and the Hell Fire Detroit spicy chicken! The service at this location was fast and friendly, we will be back for sure!“
“Food is always hot and fresh and though all the Leo's prices are supposed to be the same this location seems more affordable than the West Bloomfield and Bloomfield locations. Also they have never forgotten to put my ordered items in the bag like other locations have. I have never dined in and my high schooler or college kid picks up the food but on the phone the staff is polite.“
“It is a little aging coney island but the level of the service and food is consistent. I have been dining there for a long time including during the COVID-19 period, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They keep good servers and the atmosphere is genuinely lively.Wheelchair accessibility: It is on the ground level. No steps.“
“Great food in a small funky restaurant with a great vibe. There's a small parking lot which is convenient. We placed an order online and pickup was ready in less than a half an hour. The gyros and falafel bowl were prepared as ordered online, a generous portion and absolutely delicious. The avgolemono was nicely done with a good hint of lemon and a huge portion. The pita was freshly made on the griddle and mouthwateringly good with the spicy feta dip. Finally, the spinach pie swirl was a fun take on spinach pie and also delicious.“
“This is a great place for home cooked meals ribeye steak, chicken pitas, meatloaf, large fresh salads, taziki with pita bread and saganaki! The atmosphere is charming and the service is with a smile. I've been there several times at all dining times and if I had a complaint it was addressed right away. It's a nice place for you and the grandparents ? or even with a close friend. It's quiet so you can enjoy conversation.“
“It was one of the best wraps I've had. Super good and pretty healthy. It was very loud in there, so having a conversation was difficult, but the server was nice. There were no combos. Everything was a la cart, so it was a little more expensive. 3 people, wraps and fries...$45 before tip. ?♀️“
