“They have a drive-thru, which I found interesting for a sushi spot. We dined inside on a Saturday around 12:30 PM and were the only ones there—it seems to cater more to carry-out orders. That said, they offer some great lunch specials.
We started with the dumplings, which were fried perfectly. Then we split three rolls: the California roll was your standard classic, the fried chicken roll came in large, saucy bites, and the Salmon on the Rocks was a bit tricky to eat—the salmon didn’t stay on well.
Overall, it’s a good spot for quick, affordable sushi. I’m looking forward to trying the sushi bowl next time.“

“お食事ありがとうございました! This is by far the BEST Japanese food I've ever has in my life. We walk in, they tell us to pick a table. No wait, no nothing. Almost immediately the waitress gets our drinks and gives us time to order. 10 minutes go by, but we have some soup. She brings out our dishes and holy mother of pearls.

It was DELECTABLE. I got the Kake Udon, hibachi shrimp, hibachi filet mignon and the bento box to share.

The udon noodles were delicious. They not only used the rich, flavorful miso broth, but they added yummy greens in them too.

The shrimp tempura? Perfection. The california rolls were so fresh, and for once it didnt have that store bought taste.

Dont even get me started on the hibachi shrimp and filet mignon. The filet mignon was well done yet so perfect. Tender, flavorful. The vegetables? It was competing with the steak. It was so good. The shrimp was amazing.

Overall, we came here thinking it'd be some mediocre Japanese spot, but it turned out to be the best ive had in Michigan. LLL FOOD¤☆“

“I have had a lot of disappointments in sushi restaurants in the past, but I have to say, this was not the case!! Going into this restaurant, expectations were low, but I was definitely wrong. We started off with edamame, which was the perfect amount of seasoning, next we were given tempura tofu, which was absolutely delicious, 🤤 it had the perfect amount of flavour and texture. Next we were given miso soup, which was perfect, first of all because it was actually vegan, my parents are vegan and I’m vegetarian - which was surprising because normally miso soups are not vegan, but these soups tasted just like the ones with fish dashi in them, so that was great! And then, the star of the fricking show. Was the sushi. We ordered avocado rolls, avocado cucumber rolls, some yam rolls and others, this sushi was so fresh, made well and overall sooooo yummy! 😋 the atmosphere was pretty nice and cute, and the staff was sweet and very very friendly. Overall - an incredible experience!! We would definitely come again!!!“

“This is a family owned restaurant and our experience was wonderful. We were greeted and seated simultaneously and expeditiously. The young male server was very attentive and answered any and all our questions-and I had a lot of them. I also didn’t know the sushi role I got was uncooked, they were happy to replace it with something more satisfactory. It was my first time trying dumplings and OMG it was a 10/10!!!! “This is some of the best sushi in Metro Detroit, it’s our favorite sushi place and we go there almost weekly. The food is always delicious and the staff and service is phenomenal. I have never left this restaurant disappointed or hungry. If I could give this place more than five out of five stars, I would. 11/10 would recommend. Some of our favorite roles include, Caribbean roll, Cancun roll, rainbow roll, just the name a few examples they’re all delicious just order whatever suits your taste, you won’t be disappointed.“

“I was torn between a 3 and 4 star. I had a 7pm reservation and didnt get sat until 7:35 pm. I dont mind a brief wait, but that's unacceptable especially when told we will sit you shortly. It went from a 3 to 4 based on the Chef being super nice, and the waitress being nice. No 5 star because the protein portions are not worth the price. I have been to other hibachi restaurants that give way bigger portions for less price. I will probably come back on a day where they advertise specials because I think I saw one day of the week its supposed to be half off.“

“Words cannot express how calming it is to go to Take Sushi. We have been customers for 21 years. The owner carried our daughter around when she was a baby so we could eat. Today as I prepare to send the baby off to college soon they were there for a special lunch. Let us in early and we had the most exquisite selection of chō moriawase. This is the best sushi around. Our friends who were from Japan said it was their favorite in metro Detroit. It’s our favorite because we love the family atmosphere that resounds in this crazy world!“

“I absolutely love Nippon sushi. I’ve been eating here for over a decade, and tonight the experience I had was above and beyond. I order about once a week, and this week for some reason, my order said it was delivered, and it was not. I called and they quickly got on the phone with the delivery, service people, And when we couldn’t find my order, they quickly remade it and had it at my door within 15 minutes. The service and quality is unmatched. I truly appreciate them and will continue to give them my business for years to come. Always delicious and consistent, as well as top notch service. “Some people call me BK so when me and my wife drove by this place about a month ago, we decided to give it a shot one day. And today is that one day. I ordered BK Fried Rice and my wife Drunken Noodle, they were both great. Above our expectations! We like especially the fried rice. For sure, BK will be at BK again. 😋👍“
