“This place is amazing! And not just the food… The family owned atmosphere and the people running it our amazing. While I was waiting for my takeout order, I started talking to the two owners, their two adult sons, whowho were all having dinner… I commented how good their homemade chicken wings smelled and looked. Before I knew it, I was being forced to eat their chicken wings, dates, and the specialty drink that they were having for their dinner. I can’t wait to go back! “First time trying this sub shop, shout out to Nancy for bringing me one! Now, onto the review. Overall, it was a pretty good sub shop. I had the 5 in 1 sandwich, the bread to meat ratio was a little off as it was way more bread than meat which can be a little off putting to some. The bread was pretty dense. Also, the sauce on the sub was pretty good but had lots of vinegar so be aware if you’re aren’t big on a strong acid taste.

Overall I would give them a 7.5 and would be willing to try a different sandwich!“

“Wow! I was very impressed with the food here. Very tasty. Very well put together. Sauces real good. Spreads perfect. We ate it all. Steak qasidia, chicken and steak fajitas, black beans.. con qeuso puposa, shrimp tacos, yellow rice... even the mixed vegetables were seasoned to perfection. I highly recommend this place. We squeezed in to the last two available seats at the bar today (Fish fry Friday) and ordered the walleye and the perch. The wait for it was a little long but holy moly, well worth the wait! The owner was in constant motion at the fryers working his butt off as were the wait staff and bartenders too. I’ve had fish all over the downriver area and this place was the best! “I have been ordering from here since shortly after I moved to the area in Sept., 2018. I WILL NOT order from anywhere else. No place else is nearly as good!! We LOVE the Sweet and Sour chicken, and their egg rolls are the biggest by far. Before today, it has been a long time since I've had food from here.

Its even better than I remember. The egg roll was delicious, with a light and crispy exterior. The chicken pieces were large, and not overly breaded like other places I've experienced where there's more breading than chicken. I ordered 3 of the Sweet and Sour chicken dinner combinations and a PT of wonton soup for one adult, a teen, and 2 younger kids. I fished out ONE of the dinner between all of us. The other 2 meals are untouched, aside from the egg rolls. Dinner for 2 more days!! Yes!

This evening I had an even more exceptional experience than usual. My 5 year old son has a tree nut allergy, which includes sesame, and my oldest is allergic to peanuts. When I ordered, I informed them of the allergies for food handling purpose. I was informed at pick up that the egg rolls are fried in sesame oil. I was offered extra rice to replace the egg rolls if I didn't want them. I declined, but appreciated being informed and gave my son something else instead. They also made sure to put the egg rolls in separately from the dinner combinations, which are usually put in the box with the meal.

Absolutely perfect. I have never had a bad experience with them, and I look forward to any chance I get to order from here. All 4 of my boys love their food too!

“I had breakfast at Nanas kitchen this morning. After eating, talking with company I noticed the cook wasn't wearing gloves while handling the food. He handled bacon, wiped his hands on his apron, proceeded to grab his phone and coffee and talking to customers. Not washing hands before returning to handling food. Another cook also started, no gloves, while grabbing bacon, pile of hash browns with 2 hands, in-between grabbing the trashcan from under the counter. The service and food was good but seeing the above grossed me out. Waitress was told but, said she would say something but I continued watching the cook handling food with no gloves until we left.“

“It was my first time visiting Tim’s Coney Island in Southfield this past Saturday with my kids and our church youth group, about a dozen of us in total.
