“The food is delicious! The last two times we went here we waited a long time to order. The waitresses were all talking by the register. Then came the long wait for the food. People who came after us were served. This second visit we had a sandwich and an omelette. There was no reason to wait 25 minutes for the food. We were really considering leaving. Then we were going to take some food home but since our waitress didn’t come by, we decided to just pay and leave. We’ve been going to Pipers for many many years, but after the service we received the last two visits, it will be awhile before we come back. This is sad because the food is really good. The restaurant only had 5 tables with people and there were 4 or 5 people hanging around the register.“

“I just got a gyro dinner, probably one of the best I've ever had, the biggest and best part was the presentation, it was prepared just exactly how it was intended to be eaten. Wrapped up in foil like a sandwich that could be pealed back as needed. All of the items the meat, veggies and pita were perfectly prepared. Fresh veggies, the meat was proportioned perfectly to the veggies and bread. I asked for an additional tzeke sauce. Which I probly didn't need.Great job Leos.I'll be back“

“We’ve lived in Lincoln park for 5 years and always drove by Vic’s but never went in…. Yesterday my husband and I had dinner here and OMG were we impressed! Not only was the service great but the food was the BEST Italian we’ve ever had. It’s a must try for anyone wanting amazing authentic Italian food. 1000% recommend!!“

“Today my friend took me to lunch at Christoff’s Restaurant in Woodhaven. I ordered the Chicken Caesar sandwich which came with a pickle and a dish of fresh fruit. The sandwich was super delicious!! Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Even though we had to wait outside for 10 minutes it was well worth the wait. I would give this restaurant a 10+ ratingand am looking forward to returning. Great job everyone!“

“HUGE portions, my box was breaking from the amount of chicken. Tons of sauce. Crab Ragoons are impeccable, they’re sweet and fried to perfection. We sat at the bar and Heather was our bartender. She was fantastic! I highly recommend giving this bar a try. I've never seen him clean his plate like he did that day. He ordered the Village Breakfast. I ordered the 2 piece Atlantic cod with coleslaw. The fish batter was delicious, and fish was flaky. I must admit the coleslaw was the best part of my meal.At the register, we were advised of the canoe and kayak rentals. It came to a little over $6 for the 2, which wasn't too bad as far as price. I was tempted to order the dinner special, which was 3 tacos with beans and rice for $6.99, if I remember correctly. Maybe it was a dollar or 2 more, I don't remember. But it did appear to be a good deal. The only reason why I did not order the dinner was because you could not mix up the meats.I see some of the comments in the other reviews stating how much they enjoyed the verde sauce. Meanwhile, I thought that it was a tad bland in flavor. But it was spicy, which I liked, and the texture was smooth and thick, which I also prefer.What really stood out to me the most was the meat. The quality of it was good but the flavor was impeccable. It seemed that they marinated it as it was tender and juicy. It was also cooked to perfection. And while I liked the steak very much, I loved the chicken.To top it off, there is a bottle of Tapatio sause at every table and that is a sause that I really enjoy. That's just me though of course.Keep in mind, that this place is more of a takeout place than a sit down dinner place, even though there is seating.The service was prompt and friendly as well.Overall, I really liked this place, particularly the chicken tacos. “I was invited here to meet other ladies to exchange planning for the holidays, and so they had seats for all 8 of us. The entire staff and wait service is impressive as they enjoyed serving and making us all feel welcome. They have lots of room and I highly recommend this place. The food is delicious. I tasted a little of all my friends ordered. Very good meat loaf and omelets are amazing. Salad. Incredible and could feed 3. “I had given up on Big Boy after many years. They seemed to be going downhill as a restaurant chain. This one renewed my faith after 2 visits. The old standby "The Slim Jim " was amazing! The service and friendliness of the staff reminded me of years past. I live out of state now, but will visit this restaurant every time I come home.“
