“Love coming in here for a quick bite to eat while strolling the shops at the mall. I think mall pretzels typically get a bad wrap for being stale, gross, cold, and the workers uncaring. "And what's the deal with peanuts on airplanes?" ? But pretzels at Auntie Anne's are different from your normal mall pretzel flair. So far my favorites are the Cheesy Jalapeno, Pizza Bites, and the Cinnamon Sugar - which taste almost like an elepant ear. They also serve drinks, slushies, Pretzel Dogs, and Pigs-in-a-Blanket. These fabulous menu items always seem to hit the spot, so we can get back doing what we love - shopping till we drop!“

“Stopped by for the first time the other day. Nice variety of donuts, muffins, danishes, etc. The blueberry muffins were huge and delicious with big blueberries. The cheese danishes are really good too.“

Or stepping into Paris from the sidewalk in southeast Grand Rapids. Go slowly! Each nibble fills you with bright, exotic sensations. We go for the scones, cookies and madeleines. “I used to came here for my daughter's birthday cake 3 times a year and at one point I had to stop coming because of their customer service, dirty, unorganized but their cake has always been amazing. Then one day I decided to give them one more try again, as soon as I walked in I recognized the place was cleaned and got greeted by the owner and we had our talk. After, I chose to order my wedding cake and cupcakes. They did the exact way I asked for and my in-law and everyone loved it.“

Putt a couple scoops of French Vanilla Ice Cream in a bowl then in a baggie crush a few of your Almond St. Claus Windmill Cookies then pour over ice cream. “We had Nothing Bundt Cakes for our wedding and everyone raved about them! Ashley (the coordinator I worked with at NBC) was always very responsive and helpful in the planning process. We estimated for 2 bundtinis per person and it was the perfect amount! Their cakes are always so delicious and our guests loved having the choice of different flavors. Our cutting cake was an 8" bundt cake with the drizzle frosting...so beautiful with some flowers in the center! Can't say enough good things about this experience with them for our wedding!“

“Came in for a Tres Leches cake after hearing they were good. I wasn’t disappointed! It was nice walking into a bakery at 10am on a Saturday and getting what I needed, instead of worrying they’d be sold out (looking at some of GR’s other popular bakeries here). Staff were helpful and attentive. The fruit on the cake was fresh and crisp (peaches were canned but this wasn’t a flaw for me - this way they don’t brown like a fresh peach). I’ll be returning!“

“This is my favorite new bakery, I came here because a few years ago my brother ordered a strawberry tres leches cake for my nieces birthday and it was hands down the most amazing cake I've ever tasted in my life. I ended up ordering two cakes and 24 cupcakes and everything was amazing. I love that they have so many different flavors to choose from and they even offer filled cupcakes. Everyone at the party talked about how delicious everything was. “Overall, this is a great establishment. We’ve been going to this location for over 6 years and are rarely anything but delighted with the food and service. Recently, it appears that they began a pretty steep Gluten free surcharge on all of their sandwiches and pizza. It used to be a no charge (which I get was actually super generous and likely unsustainable) but now it’s swung to the highest in the area. It feels punitive to those that are excited to have some normality that you guys can offer to have to pay essentially 30+% more for bread they can eat. Your sandwiches are already on the pricey side but we always justified that by being local, being good, and being grateful. I’ve long championed you as the best option out there for somebody with gluten restrictions, and that became just a little harder to do.“

“Wedding cake. Marge's is my favorite neighborhood donut shop and I've ordered casual cakes from them in the past, so I decided to go with them for my wedding cake. We ordered a 2-tier 8" & 12" decorated cake, and 3 half sheets for our 180 guest wedding. The day before the wedding I dropped off live flowers that matched the rest of my wedding. Jeannie did a beautiful job decorating and arranging the flower cascade. If you're looking for a yummy, not overly elaborate wedding cake design, Marg's does a lovely job and has reasonable pricing.“

“This place is the real deal. Excellent bagels! You cannot beat the quality and taste. Every other week, I purchase a bakers dozen of my favorite. I freeze them and reheat them for breakfast with whatever I feel like that morning. Not only are they delicious, it helps with morning meal planning. My top 3- Salsa Jack, Asiago Cheese, Onion“

“We love this restaurant! My husband is hooked on their alambre tradicional, best alambre in town. Chips are amazing and always happy with whatever new item we decide to try. I believe it is family owned, at least I usually recognize familiar faces when I am there and the service is very friendly. Would be a game changer if they served alcohol.“

Awesome, small, tucked away gem that your friends will want to know about.
Great food. Fresh veggies. Great prices. The filled buns are a freaking awesome meal by themselves but not on the menu.
