Ice Cream Shops near Comstock Park

“Came here today after eyeballing this place for most of a week... Max greeted us with a smile and pleasant attitude.

We've never been here before, so he was super helpful in describing things and helping us make decisions. He convinced me to get a bunch of freeze dried treats, so we could have awesome snacks on the go.

I myself got the Girl Scout. It was absolutely amazing and the mint-chip was so perfect with the warm brownies and fudge.

My GF got the cookie sandwich & was definitely happy with it. The cookie had the perfect soft/crunch ratio and the filling was great too.

My kids got the electric Lemonade and The Lucky Day. They were ecstatic to have such an overwhelming treat. The containers all come with lids, so if you don't eat it all, you can save it for later.

Again, shout-out to Max. He made our first visit there absolutely awesome & we'll definitely be visiting more often!

EXTRA: There's a park attached to the parking lot for kids to burn off all that ice cream.“

“So as my college student’s know, customer service is a pet peeve of mine. Well I just had a top notch customer service experience at your store. It is just as important to say good job, as it is to be upset when thing are substandard. So thank you for showing me my business is important.“

“Great burgers and shakes. A bit disorganized.

- Double SONIC Smasher - $7.79: Great burger, but problems. The patties are probably eighth pound (true) smash patties. They were carmelized well, but a bit on the plain side. The cheese was amazing and melted throughout. The onions were medium to small chopped up pieces, fresh, spot on delicious, and balanced.

The Problems: First, I ordered the Triple and got the double (I checked and I did pay for a double). Second, the burger was thrown into the box and therefore very disorganized (messy) and had to be fixed to pick it up better and eat.

- Carmel Hand-Mixed Master Shake (small) - $5: My daughter had it and reported it tasted good. I thought it looked overpriced, but she said she has paid more for less. She probably knows this angle better than I do.

Things did seem to be a bit more expensive than other places, but I think many fast food places are raising their prices, too.

- Service: Extremely fast! We ordered and it arrived within a few short minutes. They did take cash and had to return with my change. They did get my order wrong, but I got what I paid for and just missed an additional patty. They were super nice and I’m sure they would have made it right if I said something, but we were ready to move on.

IMPORTANT: You must push the button to order from the parking spot ordering stations. We didn’t notice this immediately and waited for someone. When we realized we needed to push the button, it took about a minute to get someone to take our order.

- Atmosphere: We ordered from the car at one of the 5 or so ordering stations for parking and eating. There are more parking stations, but there are not menus and two-way ordering stations. It was kind of fun. They did NOT wear roller stakes (in case you are wondering).

- Conclusion: I have to admit, I was thinking about their burger afterward and wanted another. I’d definitely recommend them!

“Just tried Tastefull Vegan Ice Cream today and it was FANTASTIC! I am allergic to gluten, dairy, some tree nuts and a few other things, and this is a game changer! I haven’t always been allergic to these things so I know what “normal” iced cream tastes like. This is the closest thing to normal ice cream I’ve ever had, maybe even better! My husband also had some and he does not have the allergic I do. He said it’s some of the best ice cream he’s had in a long time! We will definitely be back before the end of the season! Also, you have to try the pumpkin pie flurry and the banana pudding flurry!“

“I had their vegan coconut and dark chocolate in a vegan waffle bowl. The ice cream was so smooth and rich and satisfying. It was delicious! I was excited to be able to have those options! I definitely recommend them to anyone!“

“Had my 5 year olds birthday party at the pump house for an “ice cream for breakfast theme” before they opened. The staff was amazing to work with and helped with anything we needed. We did arts and crafts and did a Taylor Swift dance party. 10/10 recommend.“

“We rented a Bumblebee Ice Cream Cart for our wedding instead of serving cake and it was a huge hit with our guests! The cart is so cute and a really fun and unique wedding dessert option. There were plenty of options to choose from so we had a great variety and they provided some dairy free and gluten free popsicles for guests that needed it. Amy was great to work with for coordinating everything. Delivery was easy and on time and we ended up returning the cart ourselves a few days later since we couldn't leave anything at the venue overnight which was a convenient option. Great experience!“

“I had such a great experience at Crumbl cookies today.
It was my cheat day for the month and I had been CRAVING. A soft cookie. I decided on Crumbl since it had been a while.
I went in and the store was clean, everyone seemed to be in a good mood, and the employee that helped me was really nice. I didn’t know what flavor to get and I didn’t want to get something and be disappointed, and jokingly told the employee that it would literally ruin my whole day if I took a risk and ended up not liking it. 💀🤣 which I mean is kind of true. So I asked which one was his favorite which was the Oreo one. I got it, waited maybe two minutes. And then a different employee handed me my cookie with a big smile on her face! I told her necklace was so pretty! Because it reminded me of lord of the rings.
Anyway, When I got to the car I opened the box, snapped a pic for the gram, then took a bite. It was SO good!!!! 😊😭🩷
10/10 will return for my next cheat day.

I was forced to wait for an hour even though there were only three customers in front of me when I placed my order. They got their orders right away, and I was still there waiting. The menu is packed full of cookies of all sorts.
The ice cream is a tasty display I would recommend indulging in. When in Grand Rapids and having a late nite. Eat at Insomnia cookies.

“I walked in to pick up an online custom cake I ordered online. The man was very friendly, greeted me rigjt away, and asked how my day was. He told me happy birthday, since that was my cake, and asked if I wanted a “sample!” Of course I said yes… and he gave me a GIANT bowl of ice cream and brownie!!! “The only person who enjoyed the food was our dog. We waited almost 25 minutes for 2 hot dogs with cheese and bacon and an order of mozzarella sticks. Everything was lukewarm and gross. The table before us had been in there and still waited 25 minutes for some chili cheese fries. 3 workers present but only one doing anything. We won’t be back.“

Beer battered crispy fresh and incredible. Chicken cashew salads had lots of unsalted cashews just like it's supposed to be. The chicken was hot moist and flavorful. Not rubbery or dry. Nice combination of fresh leafy greens. Now so you will know that this review is legit I just recently reviewed a Wendy's in Big Rapids, MI. which was some of the worst food I've ever received. The salads were spoiled (actually rotten) to the degree that we had to dispose of two entire meals. But this one just a little North of Grand Rapids and just East of route 131 (Rockford Mi i believe) was fantastic. Did I mention the onion rings? Oh my the onion rings.“

“We have been enjoying Culver’s in Standale/Walker since they opened, but, it is our experience that the quality of the food is gradually going down a bit. We usually get the fish sandwiches and also have enjoyed the onion rings, but, our last order was not good. Last Thursday, we ordered two two-piece fish dinners and substituted onion rings for the fries. This was a take-out order. When we got home and began to eat the food, we found the meal to be at a considerably low standard of quality. It tasted as though the oil used to fry both the fish and the rings was “old oil” and needed to be changed. It was quite disappointing for having paid $27 for the two meals expecting a decent fish dinner. We DID, however enjoy the coleslaw.“
