“What better way to celebrate a hole in one than by treating your fellow golfers to a round of drinks and appetizers at the local bar. I was lucky enough to join in the celebration and excitement at the annual ASBE foundation golf outing when a fellow golfer won the $5,000 prize. Since we were there so late we also decided to order dinner. The chicken parmesan sandwich and club sandwich really hit the spot. We will definitely keep this on our list of places to go when in the area.“

“My wife and I used to go to the Sterling Heights Restaurant and loved it very much. Especially their pizza! We ran accross the Clarkston location about 3 years or so ago and have taken many family members and friends there. Unfortunately, they won't serve their larger family size pizza to inside diners. They only serve it to carry out clients. Several times, especially after we were given back our freedom, we were making plans to go to dinner with friends for pizza and I suggested going there. My wife reminded me they only serve personal pan pizza's. Unfortunately, they do not taste the same. So, we choose Pizza Mia in Grand Blanc when we wan't pizza. We do go to Boligna's when it isn't a pizza night. Unfortunate!“

“My favorite place to eat in Ortonville! The family that owns this restaurant is just wonderful. I can't count how many times we've eaten here, and every part of our experience has been fantastic every time. I try something new each time I order, however, I've never ordered anything but the Mexican cuisine (the cheese chili rillenos are my favorite) . Recently I saw a comment on a local FB page bragging about their Greek Salad, so I ordered one. The salad was put together beautifully, but the dressing!!!!.....omg the dressing was IT! “The Fed Community offered an amazing experience with excellent food and top-notch service, all in a relaxed yet elevated setting. The ambiance made it perfect for a quiet romantic dinner, making the evening even better. Everyone from the floor managers to the Chef checked in frequently on us, and Levi provided excellent service. On the food: everything had a great balance of flavors, textures, and presentation. We started off with bread service, all freshly baked, clam chowder soup and Spanish Octopus, followed by perfectly seared scallops. The Gnocchi Saltado also blew me away with the perfectly tender yet firm gnocchi and woodfire grilled tenderloin tips. For sweet endings we finished with a delicate Banofee Pie and the their Opera cake; kudos to their pastry Chef and team for these as well! We came for a quiet night out, and left with great memories! This was well worth the trip, and we'll be back soon. I apologize for not having any pictures, but I was too busy soaking it all in.“

“I was flying solo this weekend and wanted a nice dinner and experience! Kruse's Deer Lake Inn did not disappoint. I chose from the Flavors of Fall on the menu (pick two) 😋 The stuffed shrimp was prepared perfectly (tender), and the baked shrimp and scallops were delicious. The pilaf pleasantly surprised me and was very good (pilaf is something I would have never ordered but it was the side for the pick two). I also had a Martha's Vineyard salad add tomatoes (not pictured)! I look forward to stopping in again soon!“

“I love hungry howies. The only issue I’ve had recently was when I placed an online order for delivery. They chose to use doordash to deliver our food. The driver did not have our salad and said he couldn’t go back and get it. Then he drops our sauce on the porch, doesn’t clean it up and tosses the container in the parking lot!! I called hungry howies and they did bring our salad. From now on I will not order for delivery unless they use their own drivers“

“Green Apple is at the end of a strip mall parking lot, so there are lots of parking spots available directly around the restaurant and beyond. We walked in and were greeted immediately. We sat ourselves per the sign, and our server was right there to take our drink order. Coffee was hot, food was yummy, and there was plenty of it. I had a #3 breakfast special with cheese ... sooo much food, and the ham was all through the scrambled eggs, exactly how I like it. A second cheerful server came around and refilled our coffee cups multiple times. I added a meal to-go for my hubby, and he even commented how tasty it was.

“I can’t speak to in-house service or atmosphere. But we’ve been getting the same exact takeout (chicken subgum chop suey) here for years, so it’s easy to compare. It was good for awhile, then really went way down in quality. But now for the last 2 orders in 3 months, it has noticeably improved and is excellent! Fresh green crisp vegetables and tender chicken- $14/quart which is plenty for two. Not sure if the change is in ownership or chef, but whatever it is, it’s great again!“
