About Sakazuki

Sakazuki is a cool bar in Detroit with friendly staff and great service, making it a perfect stop before a ballgame or event. It is nestled in the heart of downtown in the newly renovated Book Tower hotel, offering an intimate ambiance ideal for an evening drink, late-night cocktails, or even karaoke. Known for their delicious katsu sando, the restaurant features creative dishes like the standout Sushi Dog, a fried sushi rice roll filled with crab meat, and sushi balls that come in a set of four: salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and avocado. The hand rolls are fresh and flavorful, made right in front of guests. The Tamago Sando, a light yet rich Japanese-style egg salad sandwich, is also a must-try.

The menu includes snack and street food options such as wagyu hot dogs and an ekiben bento box. Despite missing out on the late-night kitchen, the reviewer enjoyed a yuzu colada served in a cute fish glass and appreciated the extensive whiskey and sake options. However, the Yaki Soba was overcooked and lacked depth of flavor, which was disappointing. Sakazuki has a happy hour from Monday to Friday, 4-6 PM, making it a great spot to hang out before getting seated at the main restaurants in the Book Tower. With Queen photos and posters on the wall, Sakazuki is a great place for cocktails and a must-visit spot for out of town friends.

I stopped in for saki, because I saw they were open. It was a cool little shop. Not too big so don't expect to be able to fit a large group.
This is a nice spot. It's actually kind of tucked away so if you don't know what's there, you may just walk right past it. It was a nice little intimate spot if you want to go grab some sake and vibe out for a little bit. They had anime on the TV so you can actually watch that I guess lol but no it was pretty cool. Staff was really cool...read full review
Such a cute bar. I used it as a pit stop but they have delicious smelling food too! I would def come back for a more in depth experience. I grabbed a sake shot on the way to another bar, it was reasonably priced and the bartender made was awesome and friendly.
This place is a breathe of fresh air compared to the other spots that have $20+ cocktails that are mediocre at best.

Awesome drinks, fantastic food and excellent customer service. The intimate setting is perfect for a date night or hanging with some friends.
