Wow, absolutely the best fish & chips I've had!! Heard about them for years, went for the first time tonight, and we WILL be back. The fish and batter were perfect, the homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce were soooo good and very original in both taste and texture. So often places don't meet the hype. Scotty Simpson's knocked it out of the park!
Can't find better Fish & Chips anywhere (and I have lived in New England and Pacific Northwest). It is a hidden gem. Sure, it's in the hood but never felt unsafe parking there. Service is fast, food is great and servers are friendly.
tbh the portion is small, it would be perfect for lunch. fries were good although needed more salt and the fish was really juicy but also needed salt. the coleslaw wasn't that delicious but I think they make it themselves so I like that . lots of dining space inside. it seems like the crowd is mostly older people. also make sure you bring cash
