“I'm told they've got new owners or at very least new managers and new chefs. regardless of how things may have been, currently they are tremendous at this restaurant. most places have one or two meals that we will like this one has several. the sliders with the beer cheese are delicious as is the fried asparagus and that grease monkey macaroni sandwich. Service was great, beer was cold, and we've been there a couple of times this spring and each time has been a great experience.”

“Im somewhat of a travel bug and a foodie. Iwill drive for a couple hours to try a great meal. This place will become a travel to destination for Michigan. The coney dogs are on a fresh toasted bun with a out of this world coney sauce. The broasted potato wedges are unbelievably delicious. I have had chicken of all kinds, but not like this broasted chicken. OMG It's so juicy and tasty, you will wish you had ordered more. Seriously it's the best chicken in Michigan, maybe the whole wide world. I have no affiliation with this business or the owners. This review is true and reflects my opinion. If you travel to try the food, you won't be disappointed. Cool interior with lots of signed sports memorabilia. Large deck with view of the lake and music park. Now talk about the ice cream parlor. High quality ice cream with many delicious flavors. My favorite is the carrot cake. I like this place so much, I even designed a shirt.”

“Driving through, decided to stop here for a quick dinner. Placed an order on the app, came up and gave them the code. Pulled around, wait wasn't super long, they told us to pull up and wait for food. We waited probably almost 5mins, and the food came out, in the hands of a girl who REALLY didn't sound like she wanted to be there. Thank goodness we didn't have her as the order taker. Other than that experience, food was great, very fresh - fries were just dumped in the bag though, so that was annoying. Not terrible for just a pass through. I'd come back if I was in the area, not sure how this place works regularly though.”

“We had an amazing night all thanks to our fantastic waitress Robin. We just popped in for a quick $5 pizza on Tuesday. And we were surprised by live music, a great ambience and a short wait for our table. Our waitress made us feel right at home, which is always nice when you are on vacation. She even treated us to a complimentary cheesecake. This place is a gem and not to be missed when in Boyne City!”

“Beanis is an amazing coffee shop. They have a huge variety of flavors and their food is really good too. I love the chicken garlic Parmesan sandwich. I am diabetic so there are alot of drinks I can’t have. Beanis has always gone above and beyond to accommodate people from making me custom drinks to expanding their sugar free menu. The workers are so friendly and I love the little lounge area.”

“The best sandwiches in the area! I never modify their sandwiches because they are so good the way they come, even if I think I don't like something. My go-to hot sandwich is the Inflector Gadget - an unusual pick for me since I almost always get the same thing at other delis - a turkey sandwich. I recommend the Cool sandwich on their cold offerings. SO GOOD. As for pickup, I've never had a problem. You don't need to be from the area to see how busy the best restaurants and shops get here. Even though that can be overwhelming, Lake Street Market has always been great getting my sandwich order ready for a timely pick-up. I make sure I call ahead to place my order, planning on about an hour wait time, though in my experience (since I don't call right at peak busy hours) they have been able to have my order ready in 20-30 minutes. 😋 Also, I have to add the packaging of the sandwiches is great. It may sound silly, but they have always packed my sandwich in a very clean/neat way. I really appreciate that.”

“Don’t skip this gem. Their burgers are absolutely delicious. Hands down among the top burgers I’ve ever eaten. Since discovering them, we have been back several times for more burgers. This place is a no BS dive bar with the sweetest bar dog, Lacey. I love a good dive and the tavern checks all the marks. Chris and staff, thank you for providing locals with year round delicious eats and great service! We appreciate you!”

“After running in to the owners at a small hotel at drumond island, while we were on vacation from maine, they introduced me to their coffee. I offered to buy some and they insisted I take the bag for free. after this encounter I HAD to visit their coffee shop. Everything we ordered tasted amazing and was so fresh! I also bought another bag of coffee to bring home with me. wonderful coffee, wonderful staff. and amazing atmosphere in the shop!”

“Fun place. It was super crazy busy this Sunday evening, but we found the last 2 seats at the bar next to an interesting couple, Charles and Cathy. Our bartender, Heather, was excellent. She kept the busy bar humming and mixes a super tasty matgrita. We will return.”

Parking: There is some parking in the fornt down the main road and if you turn into stigs and go feather in theres some more parking there.”

“Rooms are a little dated. But convenient location with large heated outdoor pool and hot tub with good views of the hills/slopes.

Walkability: Everything you need or want is within walking distance. Short walks to it all.

Food and drinks: Handful of bars/restaurants right there within walking distance!”

“This is our first time in the area, camping at Young State Park. It seemed just a bit chilly for cooking so we headed specifically for Sunnyside (found on the Internet). Really friendly servers and excellent food. We had missed the morel festival the previous weekend but snagged the last serving of Morel Hashbrowns. This dish had perfectly sautéed zucchini & yellow peppers, still slightly crunchy & not over cooked. Great ambience. They are now serving dinner with a full bar. We would try it but we’re supposed to be camping and have a cooler full of food! ?”
