“Always a favorite spot! The cider is fantastic!“
“Beautiful setting to sit and enjoy Northern Michigan. Their estate wines are wonderful and the owners explained how they are grown naturally and organically. Bottles made great gifts for our friends downstate that don’t know how good Northern Michigan wine is. Owners were super nice!“
“Beautiful winery, amazing service, and a beautiful view!“
“Can we talk about coming here in the off season? Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Just add snow with the view from the bar and it’s amazing. Lighter crowds more locals less obnoxious bachelorette parties. Fantastic reds! Good enough to bring me back the next day for a glass before we departed. Do yourself a favor and come up here in the winter.“
“This winery was at a time, one I’d ignore. I never found the wines very interesting. However!!!, we visited the winery and they got rid of all the tchotchkes to focus on the wine. If you are fortunate enough to meet the tasting manager Hiro Miura, you will learn about gorgeous, delicious, interesting facts about grapes in every stage and distinction and contribution to the final product called wine. I’m a retired chef and I learned so much in our relatively short visit to the vineyard. I enjoy making connections with people I meet along my travels. This visit was marked as a favorite. Thank you Hiro for sharing your passion.

“I’ve been to Bonobo Winery a few times and every time has been incredible. The large deck is perfect in the warmer months and the fireplaces inside make it so cozy in the winter. Great views, delicious wine, and friendly staff. We’ll keep coming back!“
“We visited this winery over the weekend and had such a great experience! The views are absolutely beautiful — perfect for photography and just soaking it all in. It’s a really relaxing spot with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the atmosphere.
The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and we loved that they’re dog-friendly. There’s even a park right next door with walking trails, which makes it a great place to spend a few hours (or the whole afternoon). Everything was clean and well kept, and they had heaters going so it was comfortable even in the cooler weather.
If you’re looking for a laid-back winery with great scenery and a welcoming vibe, this is definitely worth the visit! 🍷 Lots of parking.“

“Must do if you've come to the Traverse City area and want to taste Michigan wine. These folks know what they're doing and are making great wine. We enjoyed a relaxed tasting in the garden and liked all the wines (more than we expected!). The service was easygoing (in a good way) and informative. We also tried a cider that was complex and earthy. Don't sleep on those. While the reds were on the pricey side, the Rieslings are very reasonable and absolutely worth taking a bottle home. Or more than a bottle if you aren't flying!“
