“I discovered GLTS on an annual trip to Leelanau Peninsula. First thing I bought was the Tuscan Blend. The next two years, made sure to go back and get more. This year, added some tea to my purchase. The Sweatwater Vanilla is amazing and the Orange Cream Vanilla is right along side. Bought Sunburst Ginger as a gift, and the recipient let me know she loved it. The owner is a delightful person to talk with, so if you get a chance, make sure to visit. If you can't go, definitely check out the online order option. “My wife and i came here for our 1-year wedding anniversary tonight. We absolutely loved it! She had the nutty trout and I, the seasonal perch, battered and fried. This place is really in the middle of nowhere - 30-45 from TC, but if you're staying at one if the resorts, campgrounds or B&Bs nearby, the Manitou is a must-visit. The food is outstanding, the service wonderful and the ambience cozy.

“We were treated like royalty here. My two friends had two wine samplers and had a glass of wine. I had the cherry lime soda and cherry cream soda and a sampling of cherry pie ice cream. We shared a plate of their fantastic French fries served with the hoppy beer cheese sauce and all agreed the fries were perfectly seasoned and the cheese sauce positively drinkable. Bella and Chef spoiled us. I can hardly wait for my next trip up from Detroit to try more! Thank you for your hospitality!!”

“Nice place. They had live music and several tvs to watch sports. Bar tender was working hard, but the place was packed and understaffed. He received a nice tip and we bussed a table so we had a place to watch the entertainment. We did not eat so could not rate food.”

“Good place to stop for ice cream. $5.50 for a baby cone this size is a good deal to me. Recommend the rush hour hand dipped. A couple of young people running it, but did pretty good.”

“Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! The food was excellent, portions were large, service was quick and friendly, and the outdoor seating was great! The food isn't "touristy" (meaning it's not low quality like other places in the area). We live about 20 minutes away and wanted a nice place to take my visiting relatives, so we thought we'd give it a try and I'm happy we did! My husband and I will definitely be back.”
