“My daughter-in-law brought me here for my first with my granddaughters. The whipped feta appetizer was great! Addictively salty, sweet, and spicy with the perfect bread on the side. The kids menu ice cream sundae was the perfect finish!“

“Super loud and echoey, I couldn't even hear the people at my table, but I could hear the guy across the restaurant talking about his wife's bedazzled thong.
The food was ok, I'm not sure why everything was so sweet - I got the Mac and cheese and the bacon was sweet, the BBQ sauce on the meat was sweet, and the coleslaw was sweet. The noodles in the Mac and cheese were overcooked, and there was very little cheese to be found under the top layer.

We did a taco/nacho bar with some additional items. I kept repeating their name all night. Every detail was perfection down to the fruit kabobs with my son’s name and college he will be attending. Nichole was a dream to work with. She didn’t miss a beat! Additionally, we hired two girls from Casey’s to work the party and they were amazing!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!“

We got to reserve a table, because it got packed on Friday night but the place is spacious enough that moving around wasn't hard. 11:00 to midnight, power hour $3 shots!! And everyone was friendly and encouraging, especially the DJ putting on the karaoke songs.“

“The Lakes catered a bridal shower for us today. The food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. We had the Michigan Salad, Firecracker Pasta w/Chicken and Salmon w/Citrus Cream Sauce. The entire experience was outstanding. I've dined in before with my family multiple times and the food has always been delicious. I would highly recommend The Lakes.“

The music was very loud when we arrived but after we asked they turned it down (a very little bit) staff and waiter were very kind and attentive. Atmosphere was very quaint and comfortable. My only complaint is that they do not offer a veterans discount. “Over 25 crowd (most patrons were 40s +). There is a $15 minimum to use a card so if you're just having 1 drink, bring cash. No cover. Pool tables and bar. I was told they no longer sell food at this Bar & Grill but I didn't confirm if the kitchen closes very early, is temporarily closed or closed indefinitely. There is outdoor space and also a food truck up the alley behind the businesses on Grand River. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of seating. It's not huge but there was a perfect number of people to enjoy yourself and not be crowded with people breathing COVID unknowingly. Old school music with some hustle tracks thrown in. I would go back.“

“Everything was perfectly cooked, the service was very kind, welcoming, quick, and accurate. Menu consists of pretty standard American pub food. They have a wide selection of beers and drinks. It was pretty cool in the restaurant in the summer, I’d recommend bringing in a hoodie if you run cold.“

“This place is great for a quick bar bite, music and a strong drink. Lately the crowd has gotten a lot younger and the servers have changed. The server attitudes have changed and that's not a good thing. Their drinks are always strong, but there's a difference between strong and terrible and that's what we had the last time.
We brought this up to our server and she started to argue with us that the drinks here are always strong. We told her we've been coming here for over 15 years and always order the same drinks, but this one need a tweak. She was just combative and ignored us the rest of the night. This was different from the usual wait staff who are always friendly and helpful. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious.“
