“Small local bar, with a unmodernized feel. This is a good thing. I stopped by as my guy Mark told me the wings were crazy. I didn't feel like cooking and can always go for a good wing so I stopped by. I didn't like you couldn't look at the menu online but wasn't mad about it. When I got there it was packed, I had completely forgot that Michigan had its national football game this Monday. Nonetheless I went to the bar and ordered wings and a burger. Again, I wanted to see the menu online so I would have an idea of food cost. I ordered a burger and wings based off of Yelp, wings $12.95 for 10 and burger $11.95 but that comes with fries. The Burger is a double smashed patty with fresh toppings and a cheese of your choice. The wings came in a sweet and spicy glaze and are huge! I wasn't entirely sure of the food at first but when I got home I took a bite of the burger and started crying. It was everything I wanted in a burger, not fancy but not lacking in flavor. The wings THE WINGS! These gotta be jumbo wings and are cooked to perfection, excellent crispness! GREAT FLAVOR My only area for opportunity would be the fries. My portion looked like all the leftovers from previous fresh order and was still small. Plus these are bagged fries, but I don't mind that if they taste good just respect my lil portion lol. The fries were good, but I needed a few more, overall check them out well worth it.“

“No food menu other than a soup of the day made by the barmaids mother. Whatever she feels like cooking, the day we visited is split pea, and not a fan of peas, this was loaded with chunks of ham and potatoes. Very stick to your ribs soup. A shot and a beer rounded out the “meal” the bartender was super friendly even had us sign her up”out of towners” book as we were from Alabama. When you search dive bar this is a go too place. Don’t let the doorbell deter you, or the seedy neighborhood. Stop in and see the “Oldest Bar in Detroit”“

“Legendary neighborhood bar, great picture of vanishing way of life. Plenty of space for welcoming a tour bus, plenty of intimacy to relax for a couple of hours. We visited the cigar room which has some amazing artifacts of century+ of its existence. No food but up to date drink menu, including NA beers and liquor.“
“Beautiful odds and ends for the decor inside, I love its rugged look, but it's still very clean. I went on suggestion for the Tuesday night open deck to play a couple of my vinyls. “I just love Suzy's Bar, especially on FAT TUESDAY. This little bar is a staple in the Hamtramck, a neighborhood Dive Bar. If you are able to make it down for this special day, I would say it is a Bucket List Item for things to experience in Metro Detroit. Last year, I was introduced to this CRAZY DAY and we couldn't wait to do it all over again. Be prepared for cramped spaces and a whole lot of friendly people. We enjoy having a few beers and engaging in the silliness. There are quite a few bars to visit, but Suzy's is one of my favorites. We can't wait for next year.“

“6/20/13 update: Went back. It was nice. Friendly. I was the only one under 60, but I got into a social security debate with some elderly gentlemen over some Milwaukee's Best. Anyone who tells you this place is "scary" or "in a bad part of town" needs to be euthanized.“
