Great small town bar! Visiting in-laws in Durand from Southern California and I can say that with an addition of a kitchen... This place could really thrive in my neighborhood. Friendly environment and cheap drinks! Somehow a lot of Navy peeps in the area and those are my peeps!
A friend of mine lives in Durand and we decided to drive around and see what we could come up with - our favorite kind of trips - and we landed here at the Gaines Bar. It's a small town. Small hole in the wall bar. But, you know what? The people were friendly, the booze was cheap, and I have zero complaints. We didn't order any food other than the soft-baked pretzels, which, were just as they should be. Warm and amazing.

Burgers on point, Steak sandwich on point, and their chicken ranch wrap is well worth the money. Cant go wrong with buckets of beer either. Small town vibe for sure. Its probably out of your way to get to but well worth the trip.
