“"Crunch a munch, crunch a munch, crunch a munch, crunch a munch...Fritos on my sub!" What a genius and catchy jingle! Ever since I started singing the jingle to my hubs, whenever I had the song stuck in my head (which was probably 5 times a day for a few days), my hubs suggested that we give it a shot. So on our way up north, we located this Subway, which happens to be inside the super-walmart (on the far right entrance). This is by far the nicest subway I've ever been to and quite possibly nicer than solo subway stores. Not sure if it was because the ceilings were higher and the walls were more colorful, but overall it was a very nice place to enjoy a sandwich. Since we were driving most of the day, I figured I should eat somewhat healthy, so I ordered a 6-inch turkey breast on wheat, which was okay. The one thing I like about subway is, no matter what location you go to, in whatever state/city, you always expect it to taste the same and it did. My hubs ordered the chicken enchilada melt, that came with pre-made chicken and enchilada sauce, a whole bag of Fritos (for a footlong sub), and a southwestern sauce. I took a bite and I swear my taste buds have not danced with excitement from a sub like that before. It kind of reminded me of a taco from Taco Bell, but healthier and tastier. The crunch is definitely a nice mix with the softer ingredients. The best part about this location too is they have an icee machine with coke cola and cherry flavors! We ended up getting two bags of chips, a large icee and a 6- inch and footlong for around $17. Not bad for all that food! I'm definitely a fan and the staff was friendly and didn't skimp on any toppings.“
“If you weren't aware, last year's (2022) tornado tore apart the original location and it's being rebuilt. Look for the current shoppe across the road attached to the Marathon station. The sandwiches were up to par. Costs in line and the folks were outstanding. We had extra time so we stayed and learned a little bit about the city of Gaylord. Down side:It's a bit cramped inside, so you do the drive-thru. They are not freakishly fast...at all. We don't mind, but you might. 09/23“
