This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Grand Rapids.
Service great, food spectacular, food presentation was 10/10, SUPER FAST and the smells are even better. Very affordable and I’m very happy
Very small indoor dining, clearly meant to be a take out place. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good was perfect and large portions.

China City provides a friendly dining experience with delicious food and generous portion sizes. The staff has been praised for being wonderful and treating customers well over the years, making every visit pleasant. While some customers prefer take-out, many believe the restaurant is mainly to-go. The food is always hot and delicious, often better than most in the area, and consistently satisfying. Dishes such as crispy egg rolls, Szechuan chicken, General Tso's chicken, orange chicken, beef and veggies, and Hunan chicken receive high praise. However, some items like the hot and sour soup have been noted as lacking in taste and freshness. Recently, there has been a change in the dumplings from sausage to a more bland version, but the teriyaki chicken remains great. Overall, China City remains a favorite for Chinese food in Grand Rapids.
