I ordered online and went in to pick up my order. The waitress asked me what the name was on the order and how I ordered. I told her I ordered on their website and she replied that the online orders don’t actually work. She offered to put the order in then or give me a refund. I let her put the order in and I waited. Fat Boy Burgers is an old-school diner serving classic breakfast and juicy, thick cheeseburgers. The burgers are scrumptious, and the fries and rings are piping hot. Their breakfast menu looks great too! The vegetarian Peggy omelet is a hit, though adding bacon can ruin it. The dining area could use some updating, but the friendly service and simple, functional decor create a sense of neighborhood community. Rosie, the server, was excellent. This place has been a familiar, kind staffed, and true staple of many Sunday mornings growing up. It has been there for over 70 years, making it a place full of childhood memories and family history. Many people consider Fat Boy Burgers a neighborhood gem, with good food and good atmosphere. Sadly, after so many years, it is closing soon, and many will miss it dearly.
