“My husband and I came here for my 28th birthday and had such an amazing experience! Our waiter was very kind, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was amazing. We had calamari as our starter and I had the mushroom ravioli and my husband had the steak and we loved all of it! For dessert we ordered a s’mores dessert and were pleasantly surprised! I heard they have a speak easy type of lounge downstairs which is unfortunately closed on Mondays which was the day we went. But I’ll definitely be going back go see it!“

“This restaurant came recommend to me as the best steakhouse in Grand Rapids. I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly (Kathryn) and answered all my questions. The atmosphere is perfect for a fancy date. Very romantic setting to impress. I don't drink alcohol and they had an alcohol free 0% Giasen Merlot which was exquisite. I started with French Onion Soup and Cheese Popover Muffins. For an entree, I had Australian Rib Lamb Chops with a Mint Demi Glase. For a side, I enjoyed Brussels Sprouts with Honey Dijon Mustard Sause. Everything exceeded my expectations and the Merlot paired nicely with the Lamb Chops. I highly recommend the Chop House as a must visit dining destination in the heart of Grand Rapids.“

She helped us pick an excellent assortment of dishes for our party of 11, the food came out at exactly the right moments, and we all got to try things on the menu that were interesting and delicious. “I can't say enough about Fumi and the wonderful experience we have had with her in June and again yesterday. My husband and I did the scallops in June and yesterday four of us did the lamb. Fumi's attention to detail and responding to all our numerous questions went way above and beyond. We purchased 10 gift certificates which we look forward to using. “My nephew and I shared a meal here today and our experiences ranged from very good to off the scale great. We tried a Hot Mess breakfast with eggs, potatoes, chorizo,etc; it was perfectly balanced (neither to spicy or bland), super fresh; loved it. We also got a grilled cheese, with pepper jelly. The bread was the best ever (toasted perfectly) and crunchy, and it wasn't to cheesy (some places put too much cheese which makes it messy) with just enough pepper jelly to create an original experience; and one of my favorite sandwiches of my life. The salad was the low point of the meal as it was merely perfect. We also got a chocolate croissant which was great and a pot de creme which was decadent and..can I say perfect again. This is my new favorite place“

“connie’s cakes tasted AMAZING! best vanilla cake i’ve ever had, we will be saving half for our one year anniversary! communication was good, however we were discussing we get a heart shaped vintage cake for our wedding day and they ended up making a circular cake day of. our coordinator picked it up for us and we were able to pay over the phone for easy pick up! i recommend with how good the cake tasted!“

“Frequently meet friends and have some of the best brunch in the city. Always busy but for a reason, and the service and hospitality which are already top notch, do not suffer. An example of this is when they bring you your food they remember who ordered which plate. This is one of those underrated hospitality things they do that other establishments don’t reach. I will always be back :)“

After we cut our cake, we had the remaining sliced and available for guests. Not a single slice was left, so it’s safe to say our guests also found it to be delicious!“
