“We had dinner at Kona last night in Tecumseh on the rooftop. We had a fantastic meal and the service was great, considering there was only one wait staff up there. He did a wonderful job. My only complaint would be the seating. They are funky looking chairs, but they’re SOOOO uncomfortable. I’m 5’6 and the seat was way too deep!! Forces you to sit perched forward, which is really uncomfortable. And the seats are so hard I actually had a very sore tailbone. Other than that it was GREAT!!!!“

After explaining that we could not wait to be seated, We were accommodated and sat at the sushi bar. (Eventually sat at a table when it became available) The hostess was very understanding and even brought our water out closer to the time to break fast. The food was incredible, never disappoints! It was a green onion pie with beef and house sauce. The beef was tender and the house sauce was a little sweet. Nice flavor mix with green onions and cucumber. My entree was beef stir fry pulled noodles. A very good dish. The noodles were tender as was the beef. Nice fresh vegetables tossed in. Clean dinning area and service was really good.“
“wow, wow, and wow!i have had the absolute PLEASURE, of enjoying Pink Flamingo on three different occasions. Once at their pop-up in Cork Town (highly recommend following their IG for info!), once at a food policy conference which they catered, and recently i was able to get out to their brick and mortat on Woodard. All three occasions did not disappoint! the complexity of flavor, the locally sourced ingredients, and the joyous staff make Pink Flamingo a true gastronomy.i will spend a little time talking about the two events in the past. Other than the fact that i literally ate 6 chicken salad sandwiches and took one to go at the conference (nuff said). However, in my most recent experience i was driving up Woodward and decided to pop in and see what was on the menu this week. The Quesadilla dinner caught my eye. Three quesadillas, filled with a protein of your choice, come with two sides. For protein, i went with the blackened white fish, and for sides, i chose beans and fried plantains. Rich and piquant flavor on the fish, met by a crispy cheezy quesadilla, all together it was savory and scrumptious. Plus, the sides were perfect additions, the plantains offering a sweet and salty bite and the beans cooked perfectly. Loved every bite and can't wait to make Pink Flamingo a regular lunch spot!Also great storefront, they sell locally made products so it's great to see those dollars stay in the community and the collaborative promotion of other businesses! And the staff were super friendly coming from around the counter to talk with us. Also, for a Friday at 3, the place was not too busy at all. Quiet, easy in and out.If you are having an event, have them cater.If it's Thursday in the summer and you're looking to kick back around a fire and fill your face with nutritious, delicious, and creative food, go to the Cork Town spot (weather permitting).“
“I dine here often, at least once a month. Always great. Except this last time on 4/29. I ordered the garlic yaki udon and my partner ordered the curry yaki udon. Our normal order. Was almost inedible with how salty it was. Only reason I finished mine was because it was $33 with my add-ons. We were both too shy to say something but please cut back on the salt. We were both pretty sick afterwards and we should have said something. Other than this one bad experience, we always enjoy ourselves.“

This place actually has the chunks of chicken, so the egg foo young is not a flat patty by any means. Service is great here eating in or carry out. The ambiance is perfect. Its on 9 mile west of downtown in a small strip mall. It's tiny and does a busy takeout. Lots of sushi and korean variety. The sushi box was beautiful. I still come back for the food.Here's the deal: Chinese food sucks at most places, you have to find what you like best and go there for only that thing. Rikshaw has the best chicken pieces AND the best sauce flavor and texture for their chicken dishes. The prices make me feel like I'm still getting "too much food" for what I pay and that's important when other options are twice the cost for something with no leftovers.
