Hopland Brewstillery Brewery • $$
977 Butternut Dr #4, Holland

“Neat local brewery! Really likes my double IPA. About 15 beers on tap ranging from light pilsner to stouts. Had five big screen TVs with various football games on a Sat. afternoon in the fall. Big wide bar, about 10 tables, and a cozy couch in the corner. No food service but there are two restaurants on either side of the distillery that will deliver to your table. Cool place to have a beer or cocktail and hang out!“

“Our adventure began with high spirits and an insatiable thirst, not just for the amber nectar but also for a culinary delight. New Holland, a beacon of craft in the brewing world, was our chosen special destination. As we crossed the threshold into The Holland Brewpub, we were greeted not by mere beers, but by a cornucopia of brews so elusive, not even the most dedicated of store shelves could cradle them. The cocktail lineup was no mere list. It was a saga, each one a hero's journey in a glass, championed by New Holland's own distilled spirits. Bourbon and gin took center stage, turning each sip into a crescendo of flavor. But let's not skirt around the main event... the feast! The elote corn dip was not just a dish... it was a challenge. We dove in, not with the grace of gourmands but with the fervor of the Teletubbies' vacuum, inhaling the culinary concoction as though it were the air we breathed. And the prosciutto pizza! It didn't just arrive... It made an entrance, harmonizing with Dragon's Milk in what can only be described as a ballet of flavors. Each bite, a pirouette; each gulp, an ovation.Enter stage left, our waitress Madison, not merely a server but the conductor of our gastronomic symphony. With a smile that could light the darkest brewery and a joy that infused each interaction, she elevated our experience from mere dining to a jubilant celebration of food, drink, and human connection. In this tale of hops and dreams, New Holland didn't just serve us; they regaled us with a saga to be recounted with a smile, a clink of glasses, and a heartfelt toast to Madison, our cheerful guide through this epic food and alcohol-driven odyssey.“

The Mitten Brewing Company Brewery • $$
329 Water St, Saugatuck - 10.25 miles

“Came here for a drink a couple of times. They have a big picnic-table area setup in the yard, made for an enjoyable place to go have beers and appetizers. We got a Big Show pretzel, which was tasty and came with three sauces of our choosing. The tavern cheese (beer cheese) was by far the best sauce. The beer was tasty though not the best we've had. Still it was good. I lucked out and came on a day when they had a sour beer on tap, and it was pretty fantastic. The next time just a couple of days later and it was sadly unavailable. The Black Betsy Coffee Stout was decent, maybe a little heavy for the hot summer day we had, but that's on me not them.Good little place for a drink on a hot day.Edit: Good to see this place is still around! Stop in here every time I'm in Saugatuck. Thanks Mitten!“

Tripelroot Brewery Brewery • $$
146 E Main Ave, Zeeland - 5.07 miles

“Tripelroot is my go-to hang-out spot when I want a beer, a game of cribbage, and a good time with friends and family - such an awesome spot. The owners are salt of the earth and are great people - most likely they'll be serving you as well! Since it's family owned they don't keep crazy late hours and, uniquely, they're not open on the weekends, so make it a point to be there after work or when you're shopping in Zeeland. Lunch menu and homemade soups are really good, along with other snacks that are available. Great beer selection - Hop Barn #6 is my standby. Also a big whiskey and wine selection as well. You'll find a lot of cool locally-made things for sale around the brewery as well. Mug club memberships open up each November which includes your own pottery mug that you take home at the end of the year which I love - I use mine for my coffee every morning. They're larger seating area is great for company gatherings, bands (which play almost every weekend), and trivia nights on Tuesdays. Highly highly recommend!“
