She runs a family operation and it was great getting to know her and Stevie, who did an excellent job catering. We got SO many compliments on our wedding food despite it being so affordable. “Enjoyed a snack and the street side dining experience at Pablo's outdoor seating on a weekday afternoon. Only 2 tables total, spaced far apart, glad to use one. Initial service was prompt. After my first bite, I realized I wanted hot sauce and was curious about their homemade blend. But I didn't see my server again till she brought me my check, despite her taking care of the other table's needs. However, my first al a cart chicken tostada was so delicious, I decided to order another one! With house made hot sauce on the side. I had to dab it on with a fork it was so spicy, couldn't use the spoon it came with haha! It was also tasty, not just hot as ?. Delectable food, pleasant atmosphere, mostly good service. I'll be going back for more, definitely recommend.“

Some old time favorites unfortunately are no longer around, especially Torres Taco House on Grand River on the North Side..And my all time favorite, Alvarado's, on Logan St. (MLK), on the South side. Hela's Kitchen sits right in the middle of those two Lansing Legends as far as Texas inspired flavor is concerned. The chicken taco plate and the shredded beef wet burrito are right up there with the best dinners available in town. As far as the mild salsa goes, let's just say they need to tweak it. Happy to have them on the West Side joining five other local taquerias in the neighborhood. Please stop in and support this family run business!“

“I got Chile Verde and it was super bland. it had no seasoning or spice at all to the point that not even smothering it in hot sauce made it appetizing. My kid's fries were soggy and cold. Service was okay but once we got our drinks they never got refilled. neither did our chips and salsa.“

“I eat at both the West Lansing and East Lansing location several times a month. It doesn't matter whether I eat in the restaurant or get takeout the food is as great. A topopo salad and some of the cheese dip and chips and you're set. No question it's a Lansing favorite for a reason. You'll never leave disappointed.“

“I've been to alot of Qdobas, local and out of state. This MSU campus location is the best overall experience I have encountered. The management, the staff were real and not like robots. The food prep and portion makes it delicious.The chicken even is cut in bigger chunks. One local franchise cuts it so small it looks like it comes out of a Tyson can and grilled. Then they shake the spoon and voila, you have a baby portion on your $8 quesadilla. It's unfortunate that individual franchise owners will trim their portions in the name of profit. I will continue to patronize the East Grand River location and recommend to my friends and Co workers.“

“I wanted to write a review about El Azteco West but their page no longer appears in my search. The manager, Bobby, demonstrates unprecedented unprofessionalism and incompetence. My boyfriend was a cook at the Westside location but quit due to egregious health code violations. They let a burrito sit out on the counter for almost two hours, then microwaved it and served it to a customer. There's severe mice infestation. They also stored the tiolet brush on the same shelf as the clean dishes. Things got ridiculous after my boyfriend quit and called the health department. Bobby withheld his paycheck from him because she wanted to confront him about calling the health department. She called him evil for notifying the health department, instead of handling the complaints internally. Astoundingly, she denied that letting for sit out for almost two hours and then serving it to a customer constituted a health code violations. When my boyfriend finally picked up his check, someone had written "turd" on it. They also only paid him minimum wage, far less than the other cooks. The manager, Bobby, threatened to call the police on me for slander for telling people about the mice infestation and for writing truthful negative reviews. Bobby was so pathetic, she threatened to call our landlord. I discourage everyone from eating at this restaurant and working there. I've never experienced such a dirty, poorly run restaurant with managers who disregard food safety and professionalism.“

I honestly can't think of a single bad experience I've had at this location other than a long drive thru line and that's just a testament to their excellence. “I grew up in Lansing, but live in Europe now. Whenever I come home I make sure I stop by if it's open. It's a nostalgic trip each time, I love the tacos, green quesadilla and taco sauce. It doesn't get much better, and while it's a bit pricey, I can't complain about the food at all. The drive-thru moves at a reasonable clip, and is always full when the restaurant is open. Stop by whenever you have the chance, you won't regret it.“

“I've been meaning to leave this review for years. During covid my wife and I were traveling to Michigan for some car parts, I knew aldacos was on the way and we called them to see if we would make it even though it would be late. The lady on the phone not only said they would stay open, but she greeted us at the door and made our meal a memory to last forever. Each worker provided excellent customer service and they wlevem sent us on our way with a care package. I absolutely love this place for their service, food and all around family feel.“

“Went to this location for the first time after having a terrible experience at the Tbell on Clippert and the staff was so friendly, they made my day! I had a mobile order and had my food within 2-3 minutes of getting there! I would definitely recommend this location“
