“normally I would not recommend but everyone has a bad day. Pizza order messed up. Hubby ordered smothered chicken. they forgot the mashed potatoes and gravy. Forgot the cottage cheese. it's Friday so cut them some slack. as usual, my pizza was awesome. despite the Pepperoni on it. I don't eat pork. just picked it off. Next time I'll repeat the order 4 times instead of 3.”

“I have been coming to Sweet's Bar & Grill off and on since they opened. The food has always hit the spot. The burgers are great! the pizza is pretty darn good. what I find most appealing about Sweet's is how welcoming they are to everyone. some places need to put stickers or sofns to say everyone is welcome, at Sweet's they don't need the sign you just know if you walk in and sit down you will see everyone treated with the same level of service and respect.”

“We’ve dined at the Manitou for years and it is one of our favorites. I’ve tried every entree’ and have never been disappointed. From the pre-dinner crispy toast through a fine spinach salad……I get the smaller portion and it’s plenty…..a wide choice of delicious entree’ items through dessert everything is top tier including a delightful, well trained staff.

Our next visit will be soon and I’m leaning toward the frog legs which I’ve had and they are yummy. The Trawler! Crispy Duck! Lamb Chops…..the best I’ve ever had….So many choices!!!”

“Huge dive bar near Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville. I enjoyed the open space with plenty of seating, including a very large outdoor patio. They have pool tables and a dance floor if you like that. The prices were very reasonable.
I look forward to returning.”

“Stephanie was a pleasure to work with, as I assisted my son and daughter-in-law with their wedding cake selection. I was referred to Stephanie by another bakery from Northern Michigan who highly recommended Stephanie. We live 3 hours south in the southeastern area of Michigan, so initially it was a challenge finding a reputable baker. I must say, in addition to being delicious, Stephanie's artistry in baking was gorgeous, we received many compliments on the wedding cake and cupcakes from our guests (including our catering staff!). Right from my first call to Stephanie, she was most kind and gracious in answering all my questions and very professional. During each of our phone calls, text messages or emails, I was always created with kindness and professionalism. Her knowledge and expertise were invaluable to me! Stephanie encouraged my daughter-in-law to share her inspiration pictures. From the pictures she shared Stephanie created 100% of the cake and cupcakes designs with the jewel tone colors my daughter-in-law selected for their wedding. I ordered plenty of cupcakes to accompany the wedding cake, I only wished I had ordered more desserts for their wedding as Stephanie has so many options to offer to create an over-the-top dessert table for our guests. If I ever host an event in Northern Michigan I would whole-heartedly hire Stephanie again.”

Our server was great 😊 try their pulled pork and truffle fries - you won't be disappointed! They also have a huge table with bench seats for larger parties. Can't wait to come back here again!”

“We (my husband and I) are out of town guests and staying at a friend’s cottage on Big Platte Lake. Your restaurant was the first place that popped up on our GPS. We are very glad we stopped! The young man at the front desk was very sweet. We ordered the Greek salads and the Mediterranean pizza. My husband and I were not disappointed :-) And to add a note to this recommendation, if someone is reading this, don't even think about commenting about ANYTHING other than how great this eatery is. I am SICK of getting replies to my recommendation from creeps that "want to be my friend."”

“I love this location. The staff is super friendly and they're always super quick. Unfortunately, I tend to avoid it during tourist season because the out-of-towners are really snobby and rude, but this is not the fault of anyone who works at this location.”
