“One of the few remnants of Houghton that has remained unchanged! I used to walk across the street when I lived above the Lode Theater in the late 80s. Now, in 2024 it's still there and still the same. Go there for a pickled egg and a beer!“

“Great place. On the Canal Road at Liminga Road. Nice bar. Good selection of beer on tap. Not extensive but maybe four good craft beer and two standard (Yeungling and other). The bottle/can selection did look extensive, but I'm inclined to drink the tap beer. The liquor stock looked good. The food was really good. Pizza. Brisket sandwich. Etc. David does a great job in the kitchen. Sarah pulls it all together at the bar. Entertainment on occasion. Pool table. A great spot for mixing with the locals. The bar is 2 miles north of the snowmobile trail at Cole's Creek Road. Easy to get to and back.“

“I think this is my fav spot in town for basically all my needs. Parm garlic wings are the bomb! Ranch is good ??Cheap drinks. Great patio and view! Love how inside and outside have different music vibes and I love them both! Great place to hang, chill, play (pool tables and darts etc) dance, eat, and drink. 10/10 recommend.“

“One of the best bars around and a beautiful piece of Calumet/Copper Country history. The owner and bartenders are always hospitable and they make excellent drinks (including a good selection of NA beer).

The building itself is amazing. The care taken to preserve the original architecture and feel, while ensuring everything is up-to-date (and code) makes it a very unique stop.

Beyond that, it has a great location by the Calumet Theatre, the historic fire hall, and many other stops for visitors.“

“Lovely old course to play on vacation. The gentleman in the clubhouse was great, helpful etc. One of the guys mowing was rude when I tried to find out where to leave my cart at the end of the round. Probably needs to find a job with little to no human contact.“

“When another restaurant canceled our graduation dinner reservation on the day of, Michigan House was extremely kind and accommodating to get us in and the service was wonderful. They fed my celiac and vegan family members equally as well as carnivores, and the historical memorabilia on the walls was very interesting. Would come back any time!“
