Food was great, bartender was awesome, seating could be better, but overall experience was way better than I expected when I pulled up. Don't judge a book by its cover, as they say!
If you like a friendly neighborhood bar you'll love the sugarbowl. Best selection of forgotten beers I've seen in a while. Hamms, Strohs, Old Style, old Milwaukee, pbr, malort, etc. And the burgers are great, crispy smash burger style, I'm a fan of the clasdic olive burger, one of the best around.
The SugarBowl is exactly what you want in a working-class bar; cheap beer, pool tables, metal on the jukebox, and burgers that make you question why you ever ate anywhere else.
