“I’d say "try at your own risk." Our first visit today was a bit of a letdown. We were seated at a very cramped table despite plenty of booths being open and only a party of two got them. ​As for the food : ​Chicken Flatbread: Good flavor, but the bacon was too hard to eat. ​Chicken Alfredo: Very dry and lacked seasoning. ​Spaghetti w/ Alfredo: My daughter found her meal way too greasy to enjoy. ​Shrimp Al Forno: Very poor value—only 3 shrimp in the whole serving. ​It wasn't a "terrible" experience, but we definitely won't be rushing back.“

“We had a date night ! I did a text order paid ahead and received my confirmation and pickup time. I arrived 5 minutes past and was told twice to wait for my order (so my order was never made and was made on sight or it was made wrong ion…). The first time I went in I was told 3 minutes I waited 10 went back in and locked eyes with all the employees and NO ONE said or asked anything i stood there with at least 5 employees on the floor for 5 more minutes so I screamed “HERROOO” cuz I felt like I was invisible! The wait didn’t bother me it was the poor communication lack of understanding(cuz ppl got places to be) poor atmosphere. The food is great! I’d say call em and confirm your order , but if they engage with their customers it can change the atmosphere drastically“

If the post theyre open 7am to 3pm and I walk in this place at2:59pm I get to sit down and eat! I've NEVER EVER heard them say,"well the kitchen is already closed and we close at 3pm. “We had a birthday party here with about 30 people. Kim was so helpful and kind with the planning process. On the actually night, all our guests had delicious meals with fast service. Our waitresses were efficient and friendly the whole time. All the food is amazing. I've never had a bad meal here. This has become one of my favorite places to eat downtown. Go visit them, you won't be sorry! Fantastic food!“

“I placed an online order and drove over. When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly woman. I told her about my pickup and told her I was from out of town trying this chain for the first time. “My boyfriend and I visited J. Alexander’s for the first time this Saturday evening. We had a reservation for 6 and were seated around 6:05, after checking in at 5:50. The young women at the hostess stand were extremely polite and friendly. The atmosphere inside the place is great. It’s quite dark, but I personally enjoy that. It was packed of course, being a Saturday night, but it didn’t feel claustrophobic. I think it’s cool that guests can look into the kitchen and see the cooks at work, although we were seated away from that section of the restaurant. After being seated, our waiter, Donny H., soon came by. He politely introduced himself and got us our drinks. My boyfriend and I are both pretty quiet people. Neither of us had questions about the menu and we had no requests for him throughout the meal. Even though he didn’t have much to work with, Don still did great with us!! Both of us enjoyed our food. I got the rotisserie chicken with smashed potatoes. For some reason, I didn’t realize it would come as a whole rotisserie chicken LOL. I kind of thought it would be cut up, but that’s definitely user error. The chicken was very tender and pretty easy to cut up on my own. While we were eating, I noticed that all of the wait staff seem to have excellent customer service skills. A few different waiters came by our table to clear plates, bring out our appetizer, etc. Every single one of them was as kind and gracious to as Don was, even though they weren’t getting tipped from us. I think that’s pretty rare to find. At the end of the service, Don even surprised us with carrot cake for free because it was our first time visiting. It was very kind of him. Maybe it’s just something he does to boost his tips, but hey, I respect the hustle!! And the carrot cake was dang good, even after taking it home and having it cold!! Overall a great experience. I’d definitely love to come back at some point even though it’s a bit of a drive for us.“

When we got there Emely greeted us and my daughter enthusiastically informed her that she lost a tooth today, too. Emely anticipated needs (brought chopstick helpers without asking) and also asked discreetly about allergies so she could surprise her— she brought out strawberry mochi with coconut ice cream inside which was perfect for a little girls celebration and was not expected. The food as always is very reasonably priced and very fresh and delicious but it was Emely’s service that prompted me to actually review after decades of dining here.“
