Been going here for years. My favorite Chinese food spot in Lansing, nothing has beat it. Love the Egg Foo Young.
Great service
I ordered a large order for my whole family, and one person in my family has a dairy allergy. When I called they were extremely receptive of the allergy and said they would check everything. When I arrived to pick up my order, an employee had my receipt and had checked off every item that was dairy free for us. I've never gone somewhere where this allergy was taken so seriously.

China Garden is a family-friendly Chinese restaurant known for its welcoming atmosphere and consistently delicious food. The menu offers a variety of options, including vegetarian and dietary-restricted choices. While the parking lot may be a challenge, the friendly staff and quality of the dishes, such as the deep-fried tofu with broccoli and the flavorful wings, make it a local favorite. Recent reviews highlight the good flavors of dishes like pork lo mein, Mongolian Beef, and General Tso, with some mentioning that the chicken can be dry depending on the dish. The crab rangoons are particularly praised for their crispy wrapper and creamy center, described as the best ever. The fried rice is recommended if you like bean sprouts and a lot of onion. The service is often described as timely and friendly, with presentation and preparation receiving positive comments. Overall, China Garden is a reliable choice for authentic Chinese cuisine, especially for takeout or dine-in, offering a large menu with plenty of options.
