We had the goat dish & chicken dish both served with plantains, coconut or spiced rice, beans & corn/cucumbers salad and spinach side dish, both entrees were tender, seasoned with earthy spices … excellent! Their hibiscus tea and spiced coffee were delicious too. We enjoyed the avocado pudding and passion fruit desserts. Our server was knowledgeable and personable. He made great suggestions. “This has been on my radar for a while, close to home, I finally stopped in. I came in to grab a coffee, it was very busy in there. There's a lot of varied seating options and areas to relax, so work, hang out, etc... Cute decor, maybe too many ideas all at once. It could use some edits, as it's a bit over-decorated. The staff I encountered were friendly. The menu had some interesting options to choose from. I decided to go with the tiramisu latte. It was very good, I think I would add an extra shot if I were to get it again. I noticed that they had pastry cases, nit sure if they offered other food.“

“Truly a 5+ star experience. I arrived after dodging the craziness of downtown at about 11:30am on a Friday, I called in advance to see if they were open and they were so polite over the phone so I headed over. The service was incredible, I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!! So kind, learned my name, explained the whole process, asked if my seat was okay to watch the game/do my work as I was working remotely. Even when my hotspot stopped working they went and got me the wifi password on a post it for all my devices. Truly stellar customer service all around from both servers/hostesses I interacted with!!! I got the pretzel bites, which were divine, and 2 of their PYOB (pour your own beers) which totaled out to $17! I’m from NYC so two drinks and a snack for $17 is a STEAL. “Custard here is still too airy for me, but Custard Corner is the clear winner in the local debate vs Bob Jo's. The flavors here taste much less artificial, plus this location cannot be beat, especially if you want to go for a lovely walk with your ice cream in the nearby Elizabeth Park! It's gorgeous. This whole neighborhood is cute AF. Service was friendly and super quick. They offered real hard shell that had a good flavor. We ordered small twist custard cones and had the most delightful time wandering nearby with them.“

“Smoothies/juices are perfect any time of the day. We were visiting Detroit for the first time in February and were fortunate to find this shop a few short blocks from our hotel - Westin Book Cadillac Hotel. The shop is located on the first floor of the historic Dime building/Chrysler House. We were greeted and served by the owner- Steven. He gave great suggestions and we ended up with the Evolution smoothie and Cacao bowl w/açaí base. We also grabbed some of the energy bites to go from the case. Everything tasted so good!!! So refreshing and delicious!! It was closed today Sunday, but we will definitely return tomorrow morning before heading back to the airport.
