I got the chance to go to the grand opening of Dave's Hot Chicken and boy did it live up to the hype! Let's start off with first impressions. The building looks super cool from the outside to the inside. From the dope color skeems to the patterns and art work. Staff was amazing as well. Even though we were in a long line everything moved quickly. Staff was very helpful and whoever that lady manager is was doing her freaking job boy I loved her! Now let's get to some negative before we get to the positive. Something was absolutely wrong with that milkshake machine or the product. It was awful tasting and had a weird stringy like glue consistency. We don't know what it was but we quickly threw them away. We even saw other customers pouring their milkshakes out rinsing the cups and getting soda instead. Hopefully by now they have caught this and fixed the situation. Now the positive. The food itself I don't have anything to say but delicious! The chicken was good and everything went so well with each other. Like man the only thing to me that was just okay was the macaroni and cheese it was just cheese and noodles. It just needed a little salt and pepper and it would have been in there. “We catered a large order from this store for a grad party. They did a fantastic job in having the food ready on time and were very courteous. They were detail oriented and provided associated condiments.

Most importantly, the sliders were an overwhelming hit. People kept coming for them and even took them home. The sauce is particularly popular.

I got lemon pepper seasoning on the side, but after starting to eat my food, I totally forgot to put it on as it was so flavorable without it. “We were craving some greasy street style food so we thought to give this Halal Coney Island a shot. First of all, the food was beyond our expectations. I got a turkey burger and naga dog and my husband got a chicken tikka over rice. 10/10 for EACH DISH. This is now my go to spot now for Detroit. The menu has everything from nachos to breakfast. The staff is very friendly and know their menu well. The restaurant is very clean and you can tell they take pride in their business.

“While I love the flavor of their food, the only time we've had an order 100% correct was the first time we ordered. Every time we order since then there's something missing, fries overcooked and hard, messed up items, and things added to what we've ordered when we've requested it to be removed. Thankfully I simply don't like tomatoes and onions and am not allergic to them, cuz they ALWAYS forget to remove the pico when my receipt even says "no pico de gallo". Their queso blanco and their Sabor sauce are probably the two best things about them, at least when they remember to include it even if you pay for extra. For how pricey they are I would expect to have my order correct all the time. I'll be going down to the taco trucks in Southwest Detroit from now on cuz they always get the order right, they're delicious, AND they're inexpensive.“
