“Had a fantastic experience for my birthday. Our server Miranda was super friendly and all of her recommendations were spot on. We didn't have a single thing we didn't like! 10/10 would recommend. Our server honestly made our experience so much better, and we credit her for so much of our experience. Food was amazing as well, house made pasta was to DIE for!“

“Last dined at Skips in January 2026 , let me say this , first biggest complaint is that after looking at my credit statement I saw that they tacked on an extra $20 charge on my credit card without my permission , after questioning them they did remove the charge , second the food was fair at best , I ordered the Walleye which I'm not sure it was even Walleye , it tasted and looked more like Tilapia ( 2 small filets ) , wife had the Salmon which she said was just ok . It gets busy and sometimes there's a little wait for the food but the quality is great! We are looking forward to returning soon! The Lobster Bisque is a must have!“

“Some locals recommended this place to us for dinner, so we decided to give it a try. My first impression was that the place is extremely dated and dark inside. The building is obviously older, along with the decor. The staff was exemplary and our waitress was really friendly and knew service really well. The food is extremely pricey for the area, but you are given large portions. Presentation is pretty much non-existent, but that matters less than the flavor of the food.“

“Truly AWESOME catfish! It was perfectly fried, nicely seasoned, moist, and the breading (crust?) was top notch. I must say that, for me, this is the best catfish I have had in Northwest Indiana. They are also serving a very good coleslaw. I don't easily find good coleslaw and this ranks way up on my list of sources. This was my first visit and will definitely return.“
