“Cool new Brewery in town; hands-down, I love the branding, and I bought 2 shirts on 1st visit. Excellent staff and decent beer. I was happy that d&p$b have a big barrel aged beer(Barley wine to be exact) but beg that a big BA Stout appears in the fall. I was alil underwhelmed by the offerings flavor, quality idunno. The beer wasn't a 5- everything else was. Look forward to coming back and expecting them to dial things in! ?“
“Awesome brewery and even better staff! I was in town for a baseball game and stopped in for a beer. They didn’t have any t-shirts in stock and don’t sell online. Tara took my order and promised to ship when it came in. It did come in and they even called to make sure of my order before shipping. Got my t-shirt and a few stickers to boot. I will be back in the future and recommend to anyone stopping in downtown Detroit for great beer and food. And say hi to Tara while there. Thanks again Motor City Brewing!“
“Get the nitro blonde. It tasted like an orange push pop. So delicious. Also, we ate here two nights in a row. I was blown away by the spicy buffalo cauliflower “wings”. The night before, we tried the Mexican food, and the burrito was out of this world.“
“Great vibe. The ambiance is lively, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Their selection of craft beers is impressive, with a variety of unique and flavorful options to choose from. The atmosphere is perfect for both a casual hangout with friends or a relaxed solo visit.
The only downside is that they serve their drinks in plastic cups. It would be great to see them switch to glassware for a better drinking experience and a more environmentally friendly approach.“
“Stopped by for beer and pizza. Great selection of brews. The Detroit style pizza was great. Lots of space spread out. Highly recommend.“
“A nice space, huge U-shaped wooden bar with a wide top. Plenty of light at 7 p.m.
Beer lists on chalkboards on two different walls. Nice selection 24 including several meads and some specialty drinks, too.
Quite loud for the 20 odd people here, almost completely overpowering the tunes that I could hear when I first arrived. Making it difficult to read my book.
Decent amount of parking on the east side of the building.
Beertender Cody is very nice. Pleasant demeanor, easy, relaxed attitude, knowledgeable as well.
Doesn't appear to be a food menu but I ate before I got here so that is not a problem.“
“Good beer, good food truck! “Simply Spanish!”“
“The food came out hot just the way I like it. Wait Staff was very friendly. Minus - in my opinion, I ordered the Nachoes and the Wait Staff only gave one 2 ounce Salsa Cup. The Nachoes was huge. :) I like to eat my Nachoes with lots of Salsa.“
“Parking sucks! Otherwise, it's a great place.Cool, repurposed location, friendly beertenders, friendly locals.Monthly euchre? I'll be back for that. Weekly trivia, too.12 taps of their own tasty liquids, well-labeled & easily read.“
“Great ownership! Expecting great things from this brewery!“
“The beer was top notch, we had the Belgian dark. The bartender was also very personable and knowledgeable of the beers.“
“We are regulars at Cadillac Straits. It’s family friendly, the beer is always good, the menu is small but the food is delicious. Plus the staff is awesome! We love Ean!“

“Last night we had Charise as our server. She was the bomb!! Great personality, knowledgeable on food. beer & spirits. I ordered half an order of plain chicken wings! Holy cow they were a full wing and huge! They were awesome. They had a little dry rub on them. Sauce on the side. We were on the 2nd floor. Very quaint and had a pool table. I highly recommend this place. It was my 1st time there. I'll be going back!“
“Love at first sight! This is a bright, colorful cafe and brewery. Went here for a coffee, but ended up having an early lunch and a sour. I’m not a beer drinker but loved how helpful the bartenders were in sharing some recommendations for food and drink. Several beers & sours on tap and “fresh” canned drinks.” Ordered a beer, sour, the watermelon salad and spicy chicken sandwich with the best seasoned fries I’ve ever had. The salad was sweet and savory with roasted chickpeas; the chicken sandwich had a perfect spice and crisp to it.
I can see visiting by self, with friends or family. Lots of seating areas inside with a small play area, and outdoor areas on patio (covered and open).“
“The next stop in the ever-expanding and soon to be inaccurately named "Metro Detroit Brewery Discovery Tour". #39 in SE MI, #48 in the state.
Flights are usually a good place to sample beers at a new place, and I normally recommend them. Here they're a bit pricey, $12 for four 5oz samples. The full pours are $4 - $7 for a pint. That math says "just try one" to me.
Since they serve food, and they open at noon, it seemed a great idea to combine that midday meal with a fermented beverage or two and chill for a few hours.
Ordered my first brew and a Fish Sammy for my repast.
Indoors is very industrial, no surprise given the area and its previous uses. Tons of room around the center bar. A huge skylight brightens the place up well. Outside seating is very relaxing. Lots of picnic tables, several umbrellas for the sun-averse.
The waffle fries are terrific! Great outer crunch while tender inside. Sandwich was very good, too. At $12 it was the least expensive, not why I chose it, just adding info.
The music, kind of alt-punk, is louder than I'd prefer. I'll take my second brew outside.“

“Food courses are perfectly made and beautiful - we had the clam chowder and the signature sesame tuna.
The portions were generous and delicious- even the bread that came with the soup.
The homemade stout beer is fantastic!“

“I love this place. All the staff are really knowledgeable, very friendly, and usually all have a great sense of humor as well. It's also cool that every time I go in, they have changed 4 or 5 taps and I always get to try something new. (Tip: google menus never updates fast enough, check their actual website menu, that's a lot closer)“

“I do not understand why this place wasn’t PACKED for Sunday Brunch! The Brunch menu isn’t large, but I still had trouble deciding! Was ecstatic about my choice. Lindsey, our server, was very friendly and outgoing! This place is fantastic. Once the word gets out, we’re all going to be waiting in a line to get in!“

“Food is good, no complaints there. However they often turn their Uber Eats order system for days at a time. Not a huge deal but each month I get real money through Uber Eats that I would like to spend with them and cannot. This has happened the last 3 months and at some point I will just stop trying.“

“First time going, my wife and I went there for date night. The food came out at a good pace and was piping hot. Seasoned fries were so good! I had a hair of the dog burger and the flavor was top notch. Our server had a great suggestion for a good beer.
We are definitely going back. The restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere and was very clean. Good job guys!“
