“I stopped in to grab a quick snack for breakfast this morning. Upon walking in I was just struck by the very cuteness of it all, the vibes were immaculate (as the kids say?). I ordered a coffee and a butter croissant. I LOVE a croissant, and always have high hopes - but more often than not I'm let down by an underwhelming bite. So, imagine my delight as I bit into the flakiest, most wonderfully textured pastry I've had in a very long time. The outside was crispy, virtually exploding like a tree struck by lightening (evidence provided of my shirt post-snack), and the inside was soft and perfectly chewy. It was a great way to start the day!“

“Had an awesome experience at Pie Sci in Oakland Park. its hard to grab food on the go when its medically necessary to be gluten and dairy free. They do just that at Pie Sci! Picked up a pie to eat before the Tigers playoff game, game lost but Pizza was a home run!“

The large pizza is definitely overpriced but it’s Really GOOD AND you can eat off the pizza twice with the good amount of toppings that come on it. “Great food, stopped here for a lunch meeting. The staff was very attentive and friendly, they suggested we move from a booth to a more open table area which was great for our small group. The food was great and the portion sizes were generous, we shared humus and a broccoli dish among the group everything was fantastic.“

“First time going into this establishment so I asked the clerk to recommend something, and he recommended the Soul Survivor, which was a soft cheesy and delicious vegan type hamburger, and the Thug Passion smoothie which was banana, pineapple and strawberries, and was extremely tasty (maybe just a hair too small). Overall a very sumptuous meal.“

We ended up with calamari, scallops, gnudi, and trilece for dessert. This place was one of the best parts of our trip and we're excited to return. “AMAZING FOOD! The fried oyster mushrooms were to die for. The gyro, hands down the best gyro I've had, vegan or not. Whenever we go to a different city, I always try to find at least 1 new plant based dish to try. I try to pick a smaller business and a place that has something unique. Detroit area has some outstanding choices for plant based food - more than a lot of cities. I would recommend More Life Foods as a top choice for a vegan, vegetarian, or an omni. I'm going to try to convince the boyfriend to swing through on the way back to Ohio so I can get another gyro.“

“This is one of my favorite places to eat when I go downtown. The food is excellent and I love the atmosphere. The outdoor dining option is small, but very nice. It's on Library Street so there is not a ton of traffic. Parking in the Z Garage right around the corner is convenient and you can scan a QR code in the restaurant lobby to get your parking validated.“

“A Californian and a Texan walk into a Midwest Taco joint… and are pleasantly surprised! Fun concept Tex-Mex menu with unique choices of sauces, meats, toppings, and shells to choose from. They have flights of special dips and signature margaritas, allowing for a fun and creative tasting experience starting with apps and drinks. For the mains, you can either build your own or taco/bowl/burrito or choose from one of their signature pairings from a large menu. They have several meat and non meat options to choose from, and our server Colby did an awesome job helping us navigate the menu to create a great Taco Tuesday experience. He took great care of us and made the fun but large menu even more approachable and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend trying it out, just keep in mind that if you are from CA/TX and like things SPICY, that the spice level on all items is geared towards a midwestern pallet aka on the milder side.“

The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, I tried the crab cakes and everythingbagel wings for the apps and the lumen burger with truffle fries which was cooked beautifully with full of flavor and the presentation and taste was excellent! “My brother in law found this place because he was diagnosed with diabetes, he likes the sweets and their keto cookies are amazing. They have all sorts of sweet baked goods, but the cookies and the keto cheese cake will take the edge off for the sweet baked goods cravings. This is a neat neighborhood business that is clean, offers great goods and the service is very friendly. Give them a chance and you will discover that you will not be disappointed.
