“My go to breakfast spot closed (Angelo's in Ann Arbor) and I've been trying to find somewhere in dexter or pinkney and have been so disappointed. I've tried them ALL and this was my last place to try! I took my 92 year old grandpa in and we were both so impressed! The atmosphere was great, nostalgic for grandpa! The food was phenomenal. Prices were better than other local establishments for much better food. They were jam packed and we still got our food pretty quick. I can't wait to go back! Make sure you get the American fries for breakfast. Haven't had anything comparable to those anywhere.“

“This is a 5 star restaurant serving 2 star martinis. The glasses are not chilled nor do they have a stem to keep your warm hand off the bowl of the drink. A better glass would enhance the experience for us martini lovers and complement the food!“

We were not made to feel like an inconvenience instead he invited us in and told us to sit down and not rush. We were not familiar with a lot of the food on the menu but wanting to try something new. They were so kind and patient with us. Never hurried us along. Our food was so fresh and good! We all tried something new and we all loved it! We will definitely be back!! “My family did a carry out order. We ordered a pizza, chicken wings and bread sticks. My husband went to pickup the order so I don't have an opinion on service and atmosphere. The food is pretty good.

Pizza is standard, bread sticks are really good, they taste almost like Pizza Hut bread sticks, but better.

The wings are really good. We ordered them with buffalo sauce, the restaurant forgot our blue cheese dressing that we ordered, but we had Ranch dressing at home and used that instead, the wings were delicious. The wings were drenched in buffalo sauce, which we requested, and they were not gross and gummy, like other restaurants serve. I'm pretty picky about my food. And it was all pretty good

“Dexter Pub is the best. I’ve been going there since I was a kid, and I go there with my parents a lot. The food is amazing and Peter is just the nicest guy. It’s the best place in Dexter to get food.

Edit 11/2/24: my husband, son, and I went to the Pub after trick-or-treating on Halloween and the hostess was extremely rude. When she sat us to our seats, she slammed the menus on the table, gave me a dirty look, and said “here you go.” I won’t change my rating, only because we like Pete and we eat there all the time. But that hostess needs a serious attitude adjustment or I will have to say something next time she’s rude.“

“decent Coney Island. I had a club sandwich. the turkey and ham seemed room temperature, there wasn't enough bacon in my opinion. the chili cheese fries were great. I like the choice of shredded cheese, even though I went with the classic nacho cheese.
HERE'S THE PROBLEM..... THE KETCHUP WAS NASTY!!!!! LIKE IT HAS JUST BEEN FILLED AND FILLED AND REFILED. IT WAS SOUR, RUNNY, JUST NASTY. it almost ruined my meal, and the good time I had with pops.

“Took the family there for our monthly gathering. Everyone enjoyed the food and calm atmosphere. We were able to talk without issue and enjoy the meal (not noisy at all). The waitress was very polite, and the food was served promptly. This is a good place to eat, folks!“

Therefore, I’m rating it a 5 to bring the average up. I’m picky. This is a family run, Mom and Pop, old school Chinese restaurant despite the usual name. Their son said it was a literal translation of an eatery, or something. Great flavor, quality, and cuts of meat. They do a healthy takeout business, but no one seems to dine in. Accurate. Prompt. However, their dining room is immaculate! I love eating there. Always wide open. Tasteful and comfortable! Our small towns of Dexter, Chelsea, Scio, etc., are so fortunate to have an old school place like this 5-10 minutes from our rural homes without venturing into Ann Arbor. I hope you support them!
