“We come to Maria’s whenever we’re headed to Lexington for a day trip. Today was no different! However, it’s our first time with our youngest. He’s newly one and definitely has a voice! As any baby, his voice cannot be tamed nor controlled because we’re in a public setting. While waiting for our breakfast, he started to get loud and antsy - probably hungry since we already drove an hour from home. A gentleman at the restaurant was simply not okay with the noises and very loudly and abruptly yelled for us to quiet him down. The entire restaurant fell silent. Everyone looking over at us but with complete sympathy, reassuring us he’s just a baby and there’s not much we can. And how appalled they are someone would ever make a comment. Still continuing to try and keep his voice down with anything on the table that I possibly can, he yelled again. & the man a second time, yelled “QUIET!!” At this point, I of course broke down. I’ve never been out in public and someone yelled at me to get my 1 year old to stop making noise. I’m also not a parent who doesn’t care and let’s their kids do whatever. We were trying all we could because we also are respectful of others dining. This is where I need to say how much I appreciate the staff and Maria herself. All the employees were coming up to me, giving me a hug. Trying to console me. Brought suckers for my boys. Maria wouldn’t even let us pay for breakfast, which we wouldn’t let but she insisted! People at other tables were coming up and talking to us and letting us know how unnecessary the comments were. To Maria, staff and all the people who showed us kindness, thank you. Thank you for understanding. Thank you for letting me know you’ve all been through it at some point. Thank you for reminding me that a baby is a baby. Your kindness will never be forgotten. “Such a cute spot! Just popped in for a coffee, but was too tempted by the rest of the menu not to try the smoothie and cheese scone. I also bought the most heavenly scented soy candle that came with a great review from another customer, and a gorgeous doggie cupcake (which I forgot, and the lovely cashier ran out in the rain to catch me).Amazing customer service. Amazing food. Amazing coffee. Looks like they do so much more! If I'm ever back in point Edward, I'll be popping in for high tea for sure!

Vegetarian options: As a vegetarian I was pleased by the selection of vegetarian options.

Dietary restrictions: This is going to sound weird, but my dog developed a lot of weird allergies in the last few years (started losing his fur and not eating) and the waitress carefully reviewed the ingredients with me to try to prevent a reaction. So far so good!“

“The Grind catered our wedding 2 weeks ago. Melissa was so easy to work with from the very beginning. From the taste testing, menu planning and day of service, everything was perfect. The meal was absolutely divine. Our guests are still complimenting and raving about the food. The service was spectacular and so on point. The two lovely waitress were calm and so lovely. “Panera bread used to be good, now they are overpriced and can't even make their stuff right, was so disappointed at Ft. Gratiot today from the cashier to the people making the food, to the quality of the food and for $30??????? 🤬 So ridiculous! I ordered pick 2, I wanted the ham and Swiss which they don't carry anymore so I picked grilled cheese cause the ad pic on the door looked great and then Broccili Cheddar Soup. My grilled cheese was just bread and semi melted cheese. Don't advertise what you can't give your customers, really a grilled cheese how hard is that!! 🤦🏼‍♀️My husband got his lunch pick 2 as well, and ordered a Madagascar Vanilla Almond Cold Brew and it was disgusting yuck yuck yuck. Needless to say we will not be going to Paneras for awhile, if we want your soup we can get that at the grocery store now! I'm hoping I can post my pic with this review.“
