“Stopped in for lunch and was blown away by this gem. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff was incredibly friendly and I appreciated meeting the chef and his wife, you can tell they love what they do. My husband and I had such a good experience that we decided to come back the next day and have breakfast, needless to say, it was delicious. We’ll be back to try the breakfast sandwich and biscuits and gravy. Thank you!”

“Parents came to Michigan from LA to visit and Servers were very kind and always kept our drinks full. Food was awesome. i might be wrong with the name of the food we ate but, Higgins Philly, walleye roast and (shrimp tacos?). All 5 stars. as soon as we walked in we could see the Bar was full of customers for lunch time and that says it all for me.

Side note* dont talk politics with the fam when eating an awesome meal.

“Never been here before went on my dads recommendation to get dinner for the fam. Called ahead cuz it was a big order and the food was all amazing. cowboy bites with ranch along with a huge salad and ghost pepper wings, mac an cheese bites, pizza hoagie, bacon cheeseburger and mozzarella sticks were all in a food coma lol
Those wings have quite a kick as well. Definitely returning anytime I come back into town.”

“my goodness.... where to begin? our day almost went to crap. we went to grayling to buy a utility trailer but it turned out the seller was a scammer. we had plans to take our one and only day trip vacation this summer today because our daughter has been ill or in the hospital the majority of the year. we had one day.... but we needed a trailer and the person contacted us saying, today was the day. so.... our only play day this year was tabled and we went to meet up with what turned out to be a thief. so..... we decided to salvage the day and go to a new place for dinner. (try to make our only outing for the year special or unique) after consulting with my man google.... Gallagher's is where we landed. I'm so glad we went there instead of going to someplace familiar. The food was great, really great. Bob is a first class business owner.... very personable. my only problem is.... I'm still full and I only ate 1/2 my meal. We will go back! Thanks Bob”

“I grew up in the house next door ( now a used car lot) in the 50’s and early 60’s. I took my wife up there to show her where I grew up and was happy to see the Spikehorn was still there. We stopped in had lunch it was very busy so we ate at the bar. Service was great bartender was friendly and efficient. Food was good . No complaints. I will be going back whenever we are back to Houghton Lake.”

“The baristas are so friendly and good at recommending new drinks. The college campus is new and very clean. They even have a Biggby parking spot close to the building!”
