Was in town for the weekend and wanted a nice steak dinner. This was the place I picked from the search, which was then backed up by a local at my hotel when I asked, where they'd recommend. Managed to sneak in a little before they closed. Leaving after they closed, without needing to be rushed.
After our meal the owner Paul, (not Jake, Jake is on the wall) walked by and had a nice talk.
If ever back in town, I'd 100% revisit.
First time visiting Jakes. I live and have lived in large Texas cities with impressive culinary scenes. Jakes can rival them all! Call out to Missy our waitress, she was impressive. Will definitely try to return before heading back home!
Had a dinner here on vacation, and it blew us away. The owner Paul was so kind, the service spectacular and the food was unreal. Best sub $30 steak in America. We will be back.
