“Joyful House is hands down the best Chinese food not only in Saline but in the greater Ann Arbor area. My family gets the same takeout order at least one night a month. Our relatives from out of town always want Joyful House when they come to visit! The food is always pretty expensive per dish but worth it. Every other local Chinese restaurants' dishes are bland and service is poor compared to Joyful House. Once you taste it you'll never want Chinese from anywhere else!“

“Recently had a bit of a drought when it came to good chinese restaurants that were close by and we decided to give Gui Lin a try since we were in the area. Really impressed! The service was great, food arrived quickly and was hot. I thought it tasted really good and better quality than what I'd had in recent years. I ordered the pad Thai, which while it didn't taste exactly like traditional pad Thai, it was still super tasty. My husband got the almond chicken and he said it was delicious with a good breading to chicken ratio. I also got the hot and sour soup and thought it was great. Not too oily and had the right level of spice.The staff even came by to ask about our dining experience. The only reason this didn't get a full 5 stars is because the interior could use a little updating but I thought it still has a relaxing and cozy atmosphere.“

“They have the best Chinese food in the area. The food is delicious and the prices are very accesible.
They only have two tables so it's more like a place to take out the food or gather in small groups.
I'm so grateful that I found this place 8 years ago or so, I stop by here at least once a week.“

Would definitely go back my experience was a 5/5 and I loved the employee and how they stay on top of refills for all their tables. “The food is consistently excellent! Their wonton egg drop soup is phenomenal. Portion sizes are quite generous and the crab Rangoon is super yummy. The staff are always so friendly and I’ve never had an issue with any of my orders. Definitely the best option for Chinese food in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti.“

“We are soooo happy we gave TK WU a try when visiting Ann Arbor. The food was amazing! I ordered The Broccoli Chicken expecting your run-of-the-mill experience only to have the BEST Broccoli Chicken I’ve ever experienced. You have spoiled me, lovely TK WU, and now every other version will be subpar. The staff were also SUPER adorable. We noticed how cute they were with their regulars and wishing them well and safe travels for the holidays. LOVE IT! They clearly loved their guests and it was precious to see. The restaurant was decorated in red for the holidays and walls were covered with pictures of what appeared to be friends and family. This place was so cozy it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home for lunch. Definitely 10/10 recommend! We can’t wait to come back the next time we’re in the city.“

“When you visit hot pot chen you need to make sure you get the black menu. The black menu contains their authentic and specialty dishes and makes this restaurant one of the top Chinese restaurants in the Ann Arbor area. They have really mastered fried meats with a crispy and spicy coating. Their noodle soups are also really impressive with deep and well balanced flavors. Overall, an excellent restaurant for flavorful and authentic Chinese food.“

“My sick partner and i ordered out of convenience but were very surprised! the employees were kind enough to seperate the broth from the noodles so nothing got soggy. huge portions and great prices. could use some more seasoning sometimes but that is my only complaint.“

“Great food and consistently high quality. Everything tastes very fresh and you can tell the ingredients are top-notch. I tried their new beef noodle soup and it was very authentic. The hand-pulled noodles were perfectly chewy and tasted freshly made. Our family favorites are the pork buns and chicken buns, we get them every time. The shumai is also delicious. “Chicken chop suey looks great they didn’t overcook the veggies the box is full, unlike another place off carpenter Road and Packard, I’m not gonna name the name but when you pick up the box and tip it on its side it’s only half full. Its name starts with a K… ordered a fried rice combo mix veggies plate that’s an extra two dollars for the pork mixed in to the rice. It used to be free, but that was like 20+ years ago. Perfect fried rice not too greasy!“

“The food here is absolutely amazing; hands down the BEST Asian cuisine in this area. Ive been here several times and have not been disappointed. Their dumplings are delicious. General Tso's sweet & sour, and almond chicken are just incredibly flavorful. I really like their Chinese vegetable soup, but their wonton and egg drop soup are also great. So many choices, and each dish perfection. This is my only stop for Chinese food. Thank you so much for all the effort you put into your creations.😃🤩🤩🤩“

“Food is always good whenever I visit, and I recommend the signature soup and soup dumplings as you can’t go wrong with those options. The service is mostly great, with the workers always seeming positive and helpful, but one of the older ladies, possibly the manager, seems less friendly/welcoming but it doesn’t really affect the experience, just an observation. The atmosphere is great, and overall, I haven’t ever had a negative experience with anything like wait times, food, or general hospitality.“
