Clearbrook Golf Club's The Grill Room Restaurant

Amazing Dinner , great service , vast wine selection, Emma is great waitress , best place to eat in Saugatuck- I highly recommend it

I was looking forward to dinner at Clearbrook, not having been there in a while. The setting was very nice. A table in front of a picture window looking out at their patio and the golf course beyond. I ordered the Walleye, one of their signature dishes. It came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. I asked the server to substitute the grilled potatoes, which were available with the dinner special. He said “Not likely “ Apparently they make just enough to pair with the special. My wife ordered the chicken breast from the small meal menu which was served with rice. My entree arrived with mashed potatoes (and not a word from the server) and a huge piece of crusted walleye. Unfortunately, the crust dominated the fish, which you could hardly taste. The potatoes were good but the veggies were overcooked and soggy. My wife found the same to be true of her rice. Overcooked and soggy. All in all a very average meal. Not what I was looking forward to. Additionally, the room was very noisy. So noisy that while we were just able to make out what the person next to us was saying you could not hear a thing across the table. Patio seating would, I Imagine, be much better. While I hoped for a second glass of wine during my meal, the server never reappeared. Oh well……

Salmon was good but the rest of the meal was skimpy on the veggies and side. One piece of broccoli, a few shredded carrots and a few spoon fulls of rice. Left still hungry. Excellent staff though.

We love coming to Clearbrook for dinner. The food is constantly great along with the service. I especially love the salad! The dressing pairs so well with the vegetables.

Have eaten here dozens of times, and it's always excellent!

Clearbrook Grill Room is a throwback - in the best way. We had dinner here twice in the past 2 months, each of us ordering one of the fish entrees. All were excellent. The walleye is a very large fillet cooked perfectly. Salmon and whitefish were also great. The ambience is warm wood tones and lots of windows looking out on the golf course. The service was attentive and professional. The only challenge is parking: you have to negotiate among all the golfers and carts and space is tight.

This place has a a gem. The service (Emma) was wonderful. Food just amazing. Ribs perfect and the Walleye was the best I've ever had in my life. The building is so cool. Like an old supper club. If you get the chance this place is just the best.

I play at various courses across Michigan, so my review of Clearbrook is based on comparing price, quality, and atmosphere with other courses at similar price points.

Clearbrook has a fun atmosphere and a decent grill, but at $75+, I can’t justify the cost for the overall quality of the course. I’d rate the course a 6/10. The fairways had inconsistent grass heights and a few muddy patches, while the greens were slow. The layout of the course is fairly average, with a decent placement of bunkers that add some challenge, but the holes are much shorter compared to other $75 courses like Stonegate in Muskegon. Stonegate is not only much longer, but it’s also much better maintained, with fast, smooth, elevated greens and challenging bunkers.

The only reason I’m writing this review is because of the course’s price. Clearbrook simply does not look or feel like a $75+ course. At most, it should be priced around $65 for what you get.

We visited the first time. We made a reservation, and we're seated immediately. We sat outside and had a lovely view. The beer we ordered was fantastic, cold, and perfect. They brought home made bread, which was out of this world. Our meal was good. The hamburger was tasty. I just was missing something. The ribs were juicy. It is one of the best restaurants in SW MI.

Called then emailed two months ago for reservation for 16 for a 60th anniversary. Had 9 emails with club and confirmed via these emails the reservation. I wasn't receiving an automated confirmation email they were sending me, we discussed, and they said they would resend. Confirmed this morning for Saturday reservation and they cancelled the reservation with no notification. Ridiculous. Very unprofessional. Beware.

I have been coming here with my family since I was 2 years old. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. The house salad remains undefeated.

We love this place! Visited again last night, because I need your Caesar salad at least once a week. The food is amazing, the outdoor patio is heaven. Adam, our server last night was phenomenal. I definitely want him everytime. Thank you for making our date nights so wonderful.

Lovely lovely setting for a delicious dinner! The smashburger is excellent!! The potatoes that come with it are delicious! Friendly staff too!
