“We placed a small catering order this past weekend for our son's first birthday party and the morning of the party, half of our guests canceled due to illness. We called in a panic to try and downsize the order and ultimately had to cancel our taco bar. Whomever we talked to was incredibly gracious and understanding but we felt terrible for our change in plans. We had our hearts set on mexican food and were able to still place a pickup order for our remaining guests that afternoon. From burritos, bowls, quesadillas, and guac, our guests enjoyed it very much! The portions were impressive, everything was hot and fresh, and well packaged. Incredible value, great quality food - we highly recommend Fiesta Burrito and can't wait until our next visit. Thank you!“

“Panda Dynasty is the best food in the Kalamazoo area. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always gotten their food on my birthday. I usually get the same thing every time (beef with broccoli, sometimes with egg drop soup and crab rangoon), and whenever I do try something new, I always love that too. It’s always ready quickly, too, even though they make it fresh! If I could give more than five stars, I would.“

“My friend and I were in from out of town and I'm so glad we chose Main St. Pub! It was hard to decide what to order because there were so many tempting choices, but we ended up with burgers, which were good. The fries were the best ever!! Marissa did a great job helping us, and the other staff was on spot with clearing dishes and checking in on how we were doing (but we weren't bugged). Oh, and the seasonal apple martini was fantastic!“

“First time going to Fletchers pub. The chips and queso were great, the best queso and chips in town! The bourbon bowl with shrimp was a great choice, not too heavy on the sauce, and tasted very fresh. Pizza was also great and had a good amount of sauce on it. “Has always been a solid option, however my wife and I were in for dinner at 8pm last Tuesday and the service and food was sub par at best. There was Zero hustle in the restaurant, claimed they were busy but the patio was maybe 3/4 full, and we were one of 4 tables inside. The vibe was completely off. Multiple servers staring at each other, while it took tables 10+ minutes to be acknowledged and have the server come to the table. Had a view of the kitchen, and there was zero hustle there either. It seemed like no one wanted to be there. Food was not good and almost inedible. We didn’t even bother complaining. If this were my first time there, I would never go back. However I know that it’s not normal. We were highly disappointed.“

“What a pretty little place near the lake to watch the swans and other wildlife. There are places to park, or benches to sit on. What a pleasant little place to catch some fresh air and pleasant scenery on the lake. Good job, City of Portage!“

“A large, clean & quiet room and a front desk staff that was friendly and helpful. The group we were meeting with reserved a block of rooms, so we had reasonable rates for our stay. We were disappointed the onsite restaurant was closed during the time we were there, which led to some inconvenience as we were traveling with a car trailer and didn't want to drive this through traffic just to get a quick something to eat (hooking & unhooking the thing is a pretty big job, too.) The hotel did have grab & go items in the little shop in the lobby, including breakfast options that could be heated in the microwave. We didn't do this, but saw several people getting things. However, the bar was opened in the evenings and we enjoyed the banter with the bartender, who had some entertaining stories. Great guy. Considering the challenges with COVID and recent uptick in recreational travel, I'm not going to worry about the small things we'd usually expect in a nice hotel of the Sheraton brand, but do need to mention the coffee situation was dismal. We had a couple options - the traditional large urn that seemed like it was made by someone who doesn't drink coffee and the Mars brand version of a k-cup machine in the lobby. The first was unpotable and the second would have been semi-ok if we had another option than powdered creamer. A small complaint perhaps to those who don't rely on the bean to start their day. But to me, this is serious business. Honestly, I'd pay another buck a day to have some half & half at the coffee station. One more reason for the 4-star rating is the shower curtain was stained on the bottom. If it was changed recently and is that water-stained, then it's time to replace it.“

“Extremely disappointed! Just stopped at Tiffany’s at 8:15Am on Sunday, walked in the door and restaurant was 1/2 full with no wait! As soon as we walked in manager and 2 staff immediately left to the kitchen with no acknowledgment. 5 min later hostess came to us and said there was a wait in the kitchen of 5-10 min and would not seat us! There were several open tables so why not at least seat us?“
