“We had an issue with our curbside pickup order when we made it home. The manager, Tabitha, made it right. We have visited this store frequently and the service is always very good to excellent at the Plainwell Applebee’s. It’s rare to have an issue. Kudos to the team; great job.“

“I ordered via DoorDash and the food was great! If I had one request it would be to keep the foods crispy use something other than styrofoam. I just don’t like styrofoam anyway but it keeps steam in and the food like almond chicken gets soggy. Also, the chicken breast for the almond chicken was too thick. Could slice in half or pound it so that it’s thinner. But this was overall a great meal!!“

“My group visited on Jan 2nd, and while everyone else's meals were fine, I was incredibly disappointed with the Pot Roast Stacker. I’ve had this dish at many restaurants, but this version was a massive letdown. Instead of tender pot roast, I was served dry, thin slices of lunch meat roast beef that tasted like a cheap 70s TV dinner. For such a simple meal, the quality was unacceptable. Save your money and order something else—avoid the pot roast at all costs.“

“Food is delicious, takeout orders frequently wrong. This is the best food in Kalamazoo, but they’ve gotten my takeout order wrong five times in just 2025. This is nothing new for this place as I’ve been coming since 2013 and I’ve had so many mix ups. The workers are polite and friendly, and everything is always delicious. Would recommend you eat in person.“

“Super friendly beyond awesome service tamale kitchen is my first and only stop when thinking about getting Mexican food in Michigan. the food is so fresh whenever I go to stop by for lunch you guys are always on top of everything preparing food bringing it to the warmer out front and a very clean safe environment for everyone. “We order from here a lot, but not after tonight. Most of the order was messed up and not cooked fully. Then, something we regularly ordered was half the size it was two days ago yet, the full price. We compared the containers because visually it was that obvious. Called and talked to the manager and got an apology, but no offer to correct the order or refund what they left out and what was not fully cooked. Would not recommend nor will be back!“

“We had Papa’s Italian Sausage cater our wedding. It’s the absolutely delicious, we had lasagna, Alfredo, caprese salad, breadsticks, meatballs and the sausage with peppers and onion. Everything was hot, soooo flavorful and filling. You can tell that Carl puts his heart and soul into making his food. The catering was so easy, he came in and set up in a blink of an eye. It was so so seamless. I highly recommend to everyone. Thank you, Carl. It was perfect!“

“When we lived in Plain well we loved this place! We came there tonight with friends and it was terrible l Food was called and when we complained the manager argued with us about how long we waited (We had reservations for 5:15) we didn't get our food until after 6! The manager said we had only been waiting an hour! Plus she made no attempt to warm up our food and just walked away! We drove 30 miles to get there and was treated terrible! Also there was an employee back in the kitchen that should of had his hair pulled back with hair down past his shoulders. We definitely will not be back!!“
