“I was a little nervous to order from here, because of some of the negative reviews. I ate at chicken shack a very long time ago at a different location, I give places a chance, so... I ordered online a 15 piece chicken tenders, a tray of potatoes, and a large coleslaw. perfectly cooked and great flavor.Chicken tenders: 3/5 they were seasoned good but a little dry, (I remember their regular bone in chicken was better)coleslaw 0/5. The coleslaw is usually good from what I remember however, it was so sugary! It tasted like someone accidentally added extra sugar, like they forgot they already added it. it's ok mistakes happen. I will come back on another day and order the bucket of chicken instead: )“

“This place was clean and the Older Lady that worked the drive-thru and counter was Awesome! She made my day! I was having a horrible day and she said the kindest words. The food was fresh and hot , just the way I like it!

“VESTAVIA HILLS, AL LOCATION: I have been excited to tell yall about this place man (video review coming soon)! I got the chance to go to the grand opening of Dave's Hot Chicken and boy did it live up to the hype! Let's start off with first impressions. The building looks super cool from the outside to the inside. From the dope color skeems to the patterns and art work. Staff was amazing as well. Even though we were in a long line everything moved quickly. Staff was very helpful and whoever that lady manager is was doing her freaking job boy I loved her! Now let's get to some negative before we get to the positive. Something was absolutely wrong with that milkshake machine or the product. It was awful tasting and had a weird stringy like glue consistency. We don't know what it was but we quickly threw them away. We even saw other customers pouring their milkshakes out rinsing the cups and getting soda instead. Hopefully by now they have caught this and fixed the situation. Now the positive. The food itself I don't have anything to say but delicious! The chicken was good and everything went so well with each other. Like man the only thing to me that was just okay was the macaroni and cheese it was just cheese and noodles. It just needed a little salt and pepper and it would have been in there. “Came in today and had the chicken tortilla soup medium and the medium tenders and fries. My kids had the same but instead of soup they got waffles. Everything was amazing and will gladly be back for more. The staff were super friendly and approachable and big ups to front cashier and waitress Mari. Her and the staff brought us this 10/10 experience!! Along with the great food and Store owner Billy!! 20/10“

Edit** I absolutely LOVED Lee's Chicken. The below comment is a joke. A really awful night club/bar used to exist where Lee's now sits.

“Chicken was crispy and juicy. The pineapple drink is A MAZING, You have to try it. The peach mango pie is ? wonderful, do not leave without it. Adobo rice with gravy was so good. OH and the mac and cheese is DELICIOUS! Also the food didn't take long to come out! Definitely have to check them out!“

“10/10 recommend! Such great tasting food!! And you definitely get your moneys worth compared to other fast food places. I had the blazin chicken sandwich. Huge juicy chicken. And the buffalo sauce tasted great!! My fiance got a cheeseburger and he loved it! Definitely tasted super fresh, not frozen. We got mozzarella sticks and you got 6 with the order. And a “small” order of sweet potato waffle fries which was big enough for us to share. We definitely will stop again on our way up north!“

Prices SOARED!! Paid $100 for 30 Wings & Family Tenders ( 12 Tenders, 6 biscuits & large potato wedges). So, will probably not be going to often. Not healthy anyway. That will help me stay away. Good while it lasted.“

“This is my go-to place for fried fish and chicken. The fried green beans and fried corn on the cob are also delicious. I turned a couple of my friends on to this place as well, including a friend visiting from Georgia. She liked the food so much, she took pictures and posted them on social media. I also appreciate the good service provided by the young ladies who take the orders. Manhattan will continue to get my business as long as they continue or increase the level of service they currently provide.“

“I love these people. I live two minutes away from vandkye location but I’ll drive out my way to get here mainly because they use white meat in the pot pie the other store manger told me himself that he use whatever meat he has leftover in the pot pie and taste gross 🤮

“This is the best Krispy krunchy Chicken in the Metro Detroit area. I have visited several of the independent sites. This by far is the best ever!!!

Kid-friendliness: Just as adults walk-in kidscan also. Wide variety of snacks and fluids available here.

Parking: This is a busy gas station usually two or three spaces to just pick up chicken are available.

After reading the bad reviews about their food and customer service; I was very hesitant to order at this restaurant.When I walked in to place my order; the woman behind the counter (Renée) greeted me with a smile and was so kind & patient with me (considering I was indecisive about what to order). I eventually ordered the chicken (legs & thighs), catfish & fried mushrooms. Everything I ordered tasted great and the kids & I was surprisingly satisfied. Entered to a clean, warm environment (80's music in the air) and spoke with a wonderful and personable CSR named Darla who welcomed me and was very helpful with my order. “I came across this place about 8 years ago or so . We were looking for a chicken place. Our favorite things are an all dark meat bucket. The shrimp, chicken bites, onion rings etc. But my favorite is the Cole slaw ! I know most places make Cole slaw chopped larger I've always hated that. “Located inside a supermarket, this place is a little hidden gem for fried chicken! Service was great, we walked up and were handed a sample tender and potato wedge. Got 12 pc chicken family meal that was way better and cheaper than KFC or chicken shack. The gentleman serving us gave us generous portions and was very nice. Everything tasted so good!
