Carmen is so sweet and they have good bar food choices along with lower prices than most other establishments in the area. A pool table anf juke box as well! “#EagleTavern located in #GreenFieldVillage is a unique place to bend an elbow at the bar or enjoy a traditional inspired meal in their eating area. The servers and help staff wear period clothing, mid 19th Century like the tavern, and are very friendly and helpful in their service. There was a wait to be seated, but that was ok, we put our name on the list and the wait allowed us to chat with the host. Once seated my husband ordered a nice hot #AppleCider and I went with a traditional #CherryEffervescent beverage. Both very tasty. The meal comes with various “Relishes of the season” fresh baked breads, fresh churned butter, and house made pickles. I loved them. For mains we went with #RoastChickenwith Horseradish Sauce which was served with yummy roasted #Potatoes And lovely #Carrots cut rustically. A simple dish with great flavor, hearty, and filling. #beefStew was the other main, suggested by the server, which was an excellent recommendation. The stew was rich and had great depth of flavor. The stew was served with a great crusty sliced bread and the lovely Rustic Carrots. It was fun to enjoy the meal amongst community tables and to see the other patrons enjoying thier meal. The Eagle Tavern is definitely a must visit when visiting the Greenfield Village, part of the Henry Ford Complex. You do have to be a paying member to visit the Tavern but we just payed for a year membership for the museum and village and feel like we are supporting a good organization and can visit anytime we are in the area. #eagletaverngreenfieldvillage“
“This place is a big surprise. Looks like a dumpy neighborhood bar from the outside. Stuck in a small factory village but the factory is long gone. Not much parking available so we expected it to be completely full.Inside: more room than expected. Nicer than expected. Awesome food (bar food - burgers and fish and enchaldas). This was the biggest surprise. Simply did not expect food this good here. Good beer choices too. A variety of local (Michigan) craft beers on tap. The waitress was a little grumpy, but everyone has a bad day. Service was still very good, but no service with a smile. It was very busy though so she did not have a lot of time to be friendly.Burgers were outstanding and Enchaladas were huge and delicious. Great fries too. Patrons were just normal people having a nice time. Good Folk.Parking: The tiny lot fills up fast, there is some street parking in the little neighborhood. There is a fitness center that is closed at night - not likely to get towed there.“
“The food we tried here was absoluty superb ? We ordered the deep dish variant of the BBQ chicken pizza in a 8 piece alongside a pound of their bbq wings, some waffle fries and bread bites. All were phenomenal. “I didn't mind the Fish Fry, Cod, Dinner. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rank it as a 7. However, my husband didn't like it. Plus, he didn't think they gave you enough. The menu online needs to be updated. Prices didn't match how much items were. Plus, I asked about one of the items and they don't serve it. So that was a disappointment. I order chicken tenders for the kids. They didn't hardly eat any of it, including the fries.So for almost $40. This was a one timer for us. Not an easy parking lot to get into. When you exit, you can't go left. You will have to circle around and go out another way. It was loud. The server was nice.“

“This is a nice little neighborhood bar. While they do not serve any food, there is a good atmosphere and very reasonable drink prices.The place is definitely different than when I visited about 7 years ago. It's remodeled and much more modern. They don't seem to really "look the other way" on smoking anymore.Our waitress, Crystal (or Krystal), was very friendly and attentive as well. She wasted no time getting our drinks, but also talked with us and didn't seem like she was in a big rush.I liked the atmosphere of this place too. It's clean, the music is chill, and while there is seating at the bar, the other seating kind of reminds me of a little lounge.Overall, I enjoyed the experience at this place. And it was a much different experience than what it was years ago when I visited.“

“Popped in for a quick bite and a coupledrinks before a concert and was expecting typical bar food. They had some of that but ,the menu was far more.Sushi,oysters, flat breads and more. A great looking drink menu too. I usually choose a beer ,but the drink menu grabbed me. I tried a Detroit Mule,which is whiskey, ginger beer,and mint. Soooo good I had two. My Friends chose sushi,and a smash burger and were very happy with their meals. I went with mussels. The flavor and care this dish was crafted with was amazing. Very friendly and attentive service at the bar we ate/drank at. Highly recommend this stop for anyone looking for something extra delicious in a meal.“
“Went mid day after a dr appointment. Have passed by many times and decided to stop in. Was oddly busy for the time of day but I see that as a good sign. The place is a bit old but has great character and reminded me of my younger years. Service was quick and the burger was good.“
“I retired from BASF and had lunch here often and it was consistently very good. I went recently for dinner and the food and atmosphere was as remembered. I had to knock the service a little for being slow but in their defense I was in a group of 11.Parking: Parking on the street is best but very limited. There is a large lot in the back.“

“I was in a party of 9 on a lunch outing with coworkers, and one restaurant down the street let us sit for about 30 minutes with no service. We called Whiskey's to see if they could accommodate us. They enthusiastically stated they could! We got seated right away, the waiter was enthusiastic and very friendly. We loved the atmosphere; the food was great. We were all happy with our lunch!“

“Didn't have high expectations going in. Pricing seemed to be what you would expect for a hotel restaurant that is attached to the airport. Portions were generous and way larger than I would have ever expected. Turkey club, southwest pizza (made with what appeared to be scratch made dough), burrata/tomato and chocolate cake were all delicious and presented very well. Marcus was extremely professional and friendly. Will definitely skip all of the other concourse eats and stop here again next time we pass through Detroit.“
“My fiancé and I came here with a friend when the lions played Monday night football. They had 1 single waitress and the place was packed. She was running around like a chicken with her head cut off, we felt awful for her. She didn’t even get a second to breathe. She was super nice and surprisingly attentive considering the amount of tables she had and how busy she was, but they really should at least have 2 people waiting on tables at night. The only issue I had was how hard this poor waitress was working“
“My bartender, think his name was Jack, absolutely a gem. My partner and I have OCD and we are super anxious about it. Jack was so patient with us and nice about everything. Atmosphere is so cute and nice with heated outdoor patio area. I'm a regular at the Corktown one. This one is super cute. Great date spot or for family gatherings, or just drinking by yourself and catching up on emails. Ask for Jack. He's a total sweetheart and stand-up dude.“

“I’ve gone here a few times on Tuesdays & will to continue to go often.After walking on the many trails in the area, I go to this place for the refreshing drinks and delicious weekly special. Every Tuesday, there is some type of Mexican dish at a great price. My favorite so far were the mouthwatering brisket tacos which you can order individually and include a hearty amount of brisket.The bar tenders are friendly, attentive, and fast and are very good at answering questions about the food/drinks. Additionally, the chef clearly takes a keen interest in keeping the menu fresh with yummy foods.I can’t wait to see what other creations the chef puts together! I’ll definitely be back soon.“

“The pizza is good. Solid 4. I'm a pizza snob so I'm a hard sell. To get a 4 from me is quite the achievement. The drinks on the other hand, not great. I ordered a vodka/cran. All i could taste was Cranberry juice. I stirred it up thinking maybe it just didn't mix... no, there's no vodka in there. I flagged the girl back to tell her there had been a mix up and she insisted she had in fact put vodka in the glass but very kindly offered to bring me another shot. Even if this added shot it hardly tasted like there was anything other than Cranberry juice in that glass. Idk what kind of vodka they are using, but i definitely don't recommend it. Needless to say i didn't order a 2nd one. But was service was good. Over all, 4 stars.“
“Kinda dark, kinda dingy, kinda dated. It was our first time there, and not planning to go back any time soon. Our waitress seemed like she wanted to be somewhere else. We ordered drinks ( we all had beer ) and then food. The food was good ( corned beef sandwich ). It was a decent size sandwich. We tried talking and joking with the waitress as we ordered more drinks, but she wasn't much for a conversation.We ate , we drank and we left.“
