“had the Sausage Gravy and Biscuits, Sausage Gravy was Average but the biscuits were from a can. When you can peel layers its from a can. you can do better than that. you could buy a flat of biscuits better than the canned version.“

“We had a birthday party here with about 30 people. Kim was so helpful and kind with the planning process. On the actually night, all our guests had delicious meals with fast service. Our waitresses were efficient and friendly the whole time. All the food is amazing. I've never had a bad meal here. This has become one of my favorite places to eat downtown. Go visit them, you won't be sorry! Fantastic food!“

“We thought we would try this place out and we were very pleased that we did. We are from CT, and we have some pretty good steak spots there but the prime rib here was absolutely amazing. A tiny bit salty on the outer crust but other than that cooked perfectly and the taste was phenomenal. Mashed potatoes were great all around and carrot cake for dessert was fabulous as well. I give the place a good 4.9. I will definitely go back!

“We met friends for dinner and were very pleased with the food and drink. We had our own dining area next to a big window and it was great. It took quite a while to get our food and drink but we loved being able to hear each other and enjoy being together in an intimate setting. I will say we were informed that our table was reserved for another party 20 minute before their time slot. It ended up they had been seated in a different area. It kind of spoiled our ambiance but we would go there again. We shared several appetizers and dessert. Drinks were great. Entrees were superb.

Vegetarian options: The Brussel sprouts were outstanding as well as the beets and pastas.“

French Dip had a really good flavor and the BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger was cooked perfectly and was still juicy even though i said well done. The bun on the bugets and french dip held together nicely. Ribs where really flavorful and tender pulled the rib meet off with a fork. Pretzel bites and the deep fried cheese chunks where surprisingly good as where the nachos. Only complaint is the chicken we got was very dry and salad had only lettuce in it but besides it was a really nice first visit. Almost forgot get the homemade chips over the fries they are really tasty.“

“Ordered cheese bread and a small 9” pizza and wow! The cheese bread appetizer is basically a 12” cheese pizza with a side of pizza dipping sauce ! Plenty enough to eat on its own!

It’s hard to rate a pizza against Fredi the pizza man in Melvindale MI which is phenomenal if you like a New York style pizza which I do.

But, I think it’s a really really bad idea for the Village Inn to serve a pizza that they baked in a plastic dish . Even if it was BPA free which I don’t know if the pizza dishes are, or, aren’t BPA free . The idea of safe plastic for cooking anything is concerning.
Their pizzas would be much crispier if baked in a pizza oven rather than a plastic pizza dish.

Great looking place in the inside and outside as well.

“5 stars is nowhere near enough. Went with my husband to try the place and was greeted as soon as we walked in. Our waitress came by as soon as we sat down. My husband got the Down South Skillet and I got the full breakfast. Both were amazing. The owner was the sweetest as well. Will 100% be back.“

“First time visit for us, went during lunch on a Friday. Got a perfect parking spot and was sat right away! While I only grabbed a picture of our Mac and cheese (so comforting and delicious) but our entire lunch was scrumptious! A little pricey for what we got - (cheeseburger and Mac and chicken sandwich Mac and two drinks), but would definitely like to try a few more items on the menu.“

“Hands down, my favorite restaurant ever. You just can't go wrong with a Big Boy, with tarter sauce on it, and a side of crispy fries. I have ordered the same thing every time since I was a kid. If I see a Big Boy while out doing things, I make it a point to stop in for a bite. They never disappoint. The service is always fast and friendly, and the prices are right!

“If only Detroit had a BBQ restaurant as good as this one. I've tried a handful of items but always go back to the pulled pork platter, the pork being properly smoked low and slow with a nice bark on it. The sauces are also very tasty, not overpowering the meat (and thankfully, not out of a bottle like at the chain restaurants). The sides are also quite good; the macaroni and cheese is a nice pile of artery-clogging goodness! Can't go wrong here. We always stop in when visiting the Toledo Zoo.“

The french fries were hot and crispy. The Onion rings we're borderline roached a couple were. The sandwiches are really good. Maybe a little bit pricey but at least it was fresh food.“
