So we were in town for a business trip and wanted a try out some local drinks. We popped into Grand Traverse and ran into Gabe who hosted us to a great tasting of their bourbons. He was super friendly and the bourbons were great. When it came time to close our tabs, Gabe surprised us with an unbelievable bill… he said Grand Traverse Distillery is about making their bourbon enjoyable and less about $. Thanks Gabe and I’ll be back next visit!
Nice spot downtown! They have a great deal on liquor samples...4 1/4 oz pours for $5. The bartender was really cool and helped us pick the right pours for our palette, helps that it wasn't a busy time (Monday afternoon). My Sweet Heat cocktail was good but the sample flight took the top prize! Looks like their bourbon is pretty popular, they were sold out of a few. Would recommend for cost effective samples!!
Grand Traverse Distillery Tasting Room is a fantastic spot in Traverse City. They have a wide selection of spirits including gin, rum, vodka, bourbon, wine, mead and whiskey, and everything I tried was excellent. The prices are very fair, and ordering a flight to sample different options is what is recommended, making it easy to explore their variety. The staff are welcoming and take the time to give you great advice about each tasting, which adds a lot to the experience. Overall,...
