I have loved coming here since high school. Some don't enjoy the prospect of optimizing their own sandwich, but I love it. I can start with a base and write what I want to add to it. The restaurant can be a little crowded, but it does give you the feel of a nice small town establishment with lots of locals and countertop seating. Also stop by Burritt's Market or mosey on over to the Pie Company next door for dessert.
If you're looking for a quick and easy bite look no further. While leaving a weekend getaway in TC we didn't want anything fancy or long of a wait. The deli is attached to a grocery store, you circle the sandwich you want. Options of both hot & cold, make your own. I had the turkey and cheddar and it was excellent. This is like a little diner dive with amazing hamburgers. Cooked on the grill and other specialty. Hot and cold sandwiches. But really stands out is a luxurious salad bar. You can buy a small for eight and a large for 10 and fill up as much in the container as possible. So it's a pretty good deal. It's not paid for by the pound. They are missing edamame which is my favorite though. Overall, definitely worth going to this place
