“The food is good and the environment is usually pretty good. Normally I love the karaoke nights there with the old DJ or his wife. But the new karaoke DJ JT disappears for long periods of time, there will be 4 or five singers and people only get to sing once. Halfway into the night the same three songs are usually on repeat and people are leaving because there is no order to it. Vickers, please Make karaoke great again!!!“

Prices are a throwback too. Everything I get there is well prepared and served quickly and hot, sodas are refilled fast even though I think I've only ever seen 2 people working there. It's a proper bar. Don't pass up your chance, places like this are getting fewer and fewer...“

“Great fried foods, nice little dive bar. Somewhat out of the way but it’s a staple. To be honest, I’ve gone there a handful of times in the last 10 years and the staff hasn’t been the friendliest or most attentive. Other patrons aren’t super friendly either, which is why I usually order take out. Drinks are average prices. Overall, the food makes it worth the take out order. Get the olive burger and mushrooms!“

“The consistency between stores - Grand Rapids and Portage- it’s the fact that our daughter’s food allergies are such a non-issue when ordering! For us- that means so much that your servers and entire team get it and are totally informed!! We went to Portage today but we have dined at the GR store too and same level of understanding and great service. The portions were great, and our server was absolutely AMAZING!! We all included the salad bar, which was more than a meal by itself.We arrived early, and were still welcomed in. We were treated like family. “I have been wanting to try Lake Burger Tavern since seeing several reviews so I took a friend tonight for the Steak Frites and I tried the Swiss Mushroom Burger because I love a good dive or gastro-pub burger but seldom order one anymore. We also both decided to upgrade our hand-cut fries to Parmesan Truffle fries. My friend is a steak lover and we both agreed that the flavors and food quality were a 10.

It’s located in a strip of retail stores, maybe not your typical “tavern” location but its obvious that their trying to separate themselves from other Westnedge franchise restaurants with their menu, flavors, food quality and service.

Victoria was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. How can you not love a server wearing a Tiger cap who after talking to us, put on the Sweet 16 and Tigers opener for us.

“We have eaten here twice now (once carry-out, once dine-in). The food was great both times, and when we dined in the service was friendly and prompt. (I did not pick up the carry-out order, so I don't know about service that time. My bet is that they were just as friendly and quick.) Definitely will be back, definitely recommend.“
