“Applebee’s is the kind of place that knows its lane and stays in it—casual dining with familiar favorites. It’s not trying to reinvent the wheel, but sometimes, that’s exactly what you want.

The burger was a standout—cooked just right, stacked with toppings, and packed with flavor. And the mozzarella sticks? Perfectly crispy on the outside with that satisfying cheese pull inside. Definitely a solid appetizer choice.

What really made the experience, though, was Kyle. Easily one of the best servers I’ve had in a while. Quick with refills, checked in without hovering, and made sure everything came out hot and fresh. You can tell he actually cares about the customer experience.

“This is our new favorite breakfast place when we are in Grand Rapids. The food is wonderful and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Service was great and even the patrons were friendly and sweet. I even got a hug from a fellow diner. Everyone there was having a great time and the vibes were wonderful ❤️💕“

“I’ve ordered items from this location 3 times and have not have a bad time of it. I will say that the last time I ordered, I got a stuffed Howie bread, which was everything I dreamed it would be ✨, but I was anticipatory 😝 so I went to pick it up early and waited in my car. I saw them place the box in the heating lamp/shelf thingy, but my app never updated. I waited a few minutes and thought hmmm maybe that’s not mine, but the time had passed on the Howie tracker in the app where they said it would be ready so I went in to make my presence known. The box I saw from my car was indeed my order. It wasn’t cold yet, but basically I’m saying that if you’re going for pick up, the app doesn’t update in real time, so I’d just go inside to get it even if it doesn’t say it’s ready, so you can get the freshest pizza!

In the two orders I have pictured here, one was from November where I got the chicken and waffles pizza (no chicken bc I don’t eat meat- so basically waffles pizza 🤪) and it was delicious. I ended up ordering it a second time- if you don’t get the chicken, it’s essentially a dessert pizza which reminded me of the old dessert pizzas at another restaurant which shall not be named in this review, that used to have full dining room service with an epic buffet. If you know, you know. Anyway, I’m sure if you get the actual chicken and waffles pizza, and you like that kind of thing, you’ll love this pizza.

My second order pictured, I got the 3 cheese stuffed Howie bread. Check my video for cheese pull 🧀 😎. It was perfect. Everything I dreamed of in the moment.

I don’t order often from Hungry Howie’s but honestly every time I do, I’m reminded of the superiority in crust flavoring and I question myself as to why I don’t return more often.

Parking: Plenty of parking in the free parking lot. This is not a sit down place, so there aren’t many people parked at any given time as it’s just for pick up orders or delivery.

“Ginza made for a nice dinner after an evening out. I tried a California roll and their tonkotsu ramen. Both were good, but the noodles for the ramen were just slightly overcooked. The flavor of the broth was excellent and deeply savory, however, and the toppings were good. I guess it evens out. It’s a good spot for noodles or sushi, and they have a menu with some decent variety. It’s definitely worth a try if you like either of those foods.“

This is by far the best restaurant in the Grand Rapids area: we ordered the 5 course Chef's menu and each had something different from appetizers through desserts so we could taste all. “I went picked Brass Ring Brewing to celebrate my birthday with my family. I choose Brass Ring because I was interested in trying their cask ales. What I found at Brass Ring was a level of customer service that I have rarely found across the food service industry. We showed up at Brass Ring to find that a very large group was dining there, taking up a majority of the seating. They don't take reservations, so it was going to be a challenge finding a table for our group of 6. The owner heard the staff struggling to find us an available table. He jumped in and found a solution. He personally asked a couple that was seated at a large table if they would be willing to move. They graciously accepted to make room for us. This level of customer service has obviously been trained into the entire staff because our waiter was the most helpful and hospitable server I've ever encountered. Firstly, he was extremely knowledgeable of food and drink menu, helping us to navigate it superbly. He also got the entire restaurant to sing "Happy Birthday" with us when it was time for dessert. The food and drinks were top notch, but the customer service was out of this world. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the Brass Ring. You will not be disappointed!“
