“Canceled a reservation at a different restaurant to dine here for my birthday. Did not realize it was a “show” night. When I asked the hostess if it would be a problem that we had 5 in our group instead of 4, I was a little shocked when she said actually yes it was. She checked in with who I assume was her manager who was facing me, so when the hostess told her we wanted to add one more, the look on her face said it all. You would have thought I asked to accommodate 20 people instead of four. They were able to seat us, and the dining room was packed because it was a show night. Every time someone came to our table they made sure to mention that we had 5 instead of 4. It was getting comical! Within a half hour the show was starting and the dining room cleared out. I'm certain that we were the only group left in the entire restaurant. We had already received appetizers but realized our waitress completely disappeared. The entire dining room was turned over- cleaned, reset with clean tablecloths, plates, napkins, cutlery and glasses. Meanwhile, our water glasses were bone dry and we all started to think our waitress went home for the night! We finally asked for her and she showed back up- bringing our soups and salads finally. When she brought the dinner plates she AGAIN mentioned our group of “5 instead of 4.” Like ok we get it!! Usually they have a nice ambiance of music, but because it was “ Bob Seger” tribute night, they had his top 5 songs playing on repeat for the whole night. We were right under a speaker so that was a little annoying, but understandable I guess. I think they could have turned the music volume down since the room had cleared out but that's just my personal preference. One last time when she brought the bill, she mentioned our larger group but thankfully she did point out that gratuity had already been added to the check because it was show night. Had she not pointed it out way may not have noticed. All in all great food but wow! The attitude!”

“Went here for the first time with my daughter, who is a coffee aficionado. We both loved the decor of the place. It’s quite beautiful and the menu offers so much variety that I wasn’t familiar with, I know I’ll be back. Our coffees were unique, and the pastries were tasty. I’ve seen others complain about the price but we paid about $20 for two coffees two pastries and that includes a tip. I don’t think that’s unreasonable in today’s world and it’s so much better than chain coffee shops.”

“I love this place. The other day a woman came in and Without trying her food tried to say it was disgusting. Made a Big huge scene which caused some customers to leave. I stayed to make sure nothing happened.And now is constantly harassing them and won't leave them alone. The owner and the staff was professional and tried to solve the problem which the lady was not having. Then called her husband and had him come up later that day to harass the owner, And her employees. Now i'm on facebook and watching this lady, Her husband, And her friend harass this business owner. yes It is very important to say that her husband kept repeating he owns his own business. so I am guessing they are doing this because he needs more business? trying to put her out of business so he can get her customers? I was there and this owner should not have to deal with the harassment from them. sorry you have to. keep doing you and all your customers that know you will keep coming back. I know I will.”

“I moved here in March and I’m still working on finding my new local go to spots. It’s my first time here and this is going to be my #1 go to diner/Coney Island.
It’s a family run business and it’s obvious that they work hard to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The waitresses are genuinely kind and you can tell they care about their customer.

The food was really good! It came out quick, the portions were generous, and if you like hash browns you won’t be sorry!! I’m a big coffee gal and my coffee was never empty, always hot, and as a VERY rare treat, the coffee is actually really good.

Lastly, the restaurant is clean and well maintained. It is obvious they take pride in what they do and are dedicated to making a great experience.

Each meal comes with a spring roll and soup, both of which were absolutely delicious. I ordered the Pad Cashew with added water chestnuts, and it was incredible — I’ve been craving it ever since. My partner had the Pad Prik with shrimp, which was also great, though I’d recommend trying it with beef instead for a richer flavor.

The service was decent, though not particularly warm, but the quality and taste of the food more than made up for it. Overall, Thai Star is a great date spot and a perfect choice for anyone who values authentic, flavorful Thai food over fancy presentation.”

I have had a couple snafu's on different occasions (as one does with any restaurant, such as a missing drink or chicken not being put on the side) & Corinna, the manager, has always helped me out with them with kindness, understanding, & patience. The snafu's haven't been catastrophic by any means but small minor mistakes. And she always goes out of her way to make things right. Reviews are not always for what that company got wrong but are also for giving the praise to someone who deserves it & I feel Corinna deserves it. My only complaint was it was supposed to be a bright pink but it turned out more of a really really light pink. Totally okay, especially since they were using my dye! “I ordered from the place for the first time. The food was really good and tasted the way those dishes were supposed to. I really liked the atmosphere as well. Nice place to sit down and eat. Good to see a fusion restaurant in warren.I see some people complaining that the chicken was dry but to tell you the truth that's an issue with a lot of Mediterranean restaurants I have been to, even the really fancy ones. Unless you tell them to cook the chicken medium rare or medium they tend to cook it well done.They can maybe add a little bit more salt to the chicken though.Their portions are not the largest but since the prices are relatively low you can always pay a little extra to have the portions increased.Let's also see if they add more items on their menu. I would love to see more fusion items. I know they are new so they probably don't want to clutter their menu with too many things right now.”

“We just booked CJ’s to cater our country wedding reception with their Pig Roast menu. The food was fantastic! We had plenty for everyone and almost everyone asked where the food came from. Due to Covid, our wedding was put together in 3 months. CJ’s handled everything beautifully. Set up, clean up, making sure food was restocked, they were marvelous. I would be happy to use them again. The crust was literally like paper thin with the ends undercooked & doughy. We always request double cheese this had barely any cheese. Not much pepperoni & onions were like square chiklets. No flavor whatsoever. Im hoping the salad will fill the void. I won't be back for awhile zim afraid”
